Located just 1.5kl from the heart of Westport town centre. It is an ideal location 1min from the greenway and within walking distance from town centre. I charge per room not per person, so at 50eu per ngt it's great value. Breakfast is available on request.(ex charge)
Very close to town but with all the benefits of country living. Beautiful views. All twin rooms.
Guests have access to all rooms with the exception of the kitchen. There is a large back garden and lot's of parking to the front.
I interact with my guests to their desire. They are very welcome to come along cycling, walking, fishing or maybe to the pub tour of Westport with us as we both play music!!
We are in a quiet location very close to town but it feels like it's in the countryside.
Within walking distance from town however a taxi is available also.
I'm an artist and musician, have an interest in gardening and many hobbies
Maria is sound. Place was very nice.
Maria was fabulous! We had a great stay with her and she was more than accommodating. The rooms were clean and comfortable and she had tea and brown bread for us. her home is a short 15-20 minute walk into Westport and we loved our stay!
Maria is an amazing person! I originally was going to stay one night but after I went out to the local pub with Maria where we watched the local residents play music I knew it was worth staying another day. We had a great couple days together and I am very grateful for the accommodation. She even gave me a jacket her son outgrew, under the condition I root for Mayo in the upcoming Gaelic football championship :)
The town of Westport is stunning. Very lively but at the same time not overly busy. The music here and in Galway city was the best from what I experienced. The people were very friendly and interesting.
If you're not a dog person this place might not be the place for you.
Maria was so kind and welcoming. She gave us some great suggestions on where to go in town and invited us to hear her play music. The house is in a wonderful location- 20 minute walk down beautiful country roads to Westport.
Maria is an absolute doll as a host. Warm, welcoming and incredibly accommodating. She was lovely to chat with and offered great recommendations on restaurants and local pubs (she and her partner are great traditional musicians).
Her home offers basic amenities - small sitting room, coffee/tea available in the morning. She does offer breakfast, although we did not try this out. The bedrooms are great - larger than most you will find and had comfy beds and fun decorations. Located about a 15min walk outside of downtown on tiny little roads, its a great location (A bit tricky to find, so map it out first if you can). Surrounded by pastures, you get a close up look at sheep across the way and her horses in the back yard.
I'll definitely stay with her again when I go back to Westport!
Maria was a great host. We only stayed a night but she was always willing to help us and provided everything we needed. She totally made as feel at home and as comfortable, and the house is super close to town. A great spot to stay in Westport. :)
Maria was a very kind hostess. Things I would note to anyone booking are that the beds werent the most comfortable compared to most it doesnt include breakfast like most places, but very hospitable, especially if you like dogs!
