Zoe is amazing! The day I arrived she welcomed me into her very warm apartment (it was snowing at the time) and gave me a great brief on the best spots in NYC. Although I have visited many times, as a NYC native, she provided invaluable advice on the best days and times to visit the most interesting areas. I immediately felt right at home. Zoe was more than a Airbnb host, she doubled as my stylist, gave me great fashion tips and even styled up my hat. The description of her apartment is very accurate, it's beautifully decorated and only a block away from the subway including the express train which took minutes to get to downtown. I felt very safe in this neighbourhood, even when coming back late after midnight. Her cat Ginger is gorgeous, but be aware he loves biting on rubber sandals and is very quick so you need to watch out that he doesn't escape when entering and leaving the apartment. I loved everything about my stay with Zoe and even adopted her as my Aunt whilst there. I couldn't have asked for a better airbnb experience, it was fabulous and I would highly recommend Zoe's home if you're planning to visit NY sometime soon. Thank you Aunt Zoe for the most wonderful stay, it was a pleasure meeting you and I promise I'll be back sometime soon!
Zoe`s apartment was very warm ( was staying there in wintertime). It located in very quiet area of Harlem right near the subway. I felt safe in this neighbourhood, even if i had to return alone late at night. Zoe is very knowledgeable about the city and can give a lot of useful tips and suggestions of nice places in NY.
Zoe's place is nice and her description is appropriate. I stayed with her for 9 days; I currently live and work in NY and was in-between housing for these days, so I stayed with her while I was waiting to move into my new long-term home. I rarely saw Zoe because I was working every day, but when I did see her she seemed very friendly and sweet, as was Ginger! As Zoe describes in her listing, her kitchen is not really suitable for guests to cook in (it is small and behind her bedroom), so I would keep this in mind as eating out/prepared food gets expensive.
The room itself was cozy, warm, and comfortable, and I slept well each night. I wasn't really around the house much except to sleep during these days, however Zoe has a nice notebook with suggestions of places to visit and seemed knowledgeable about the area, so I would especially recommend her place for someone visiting and unfamiliar with the area who would like to explore.
Zoe lives in a quiet and safe neighborhood and her apartment is easy to get to from the train. It was a nice room to come home to after work and I enjoyed my stay!
Zoe is lovely. She made me feel welcome in her home & had a great guide to the city. She offered suggestions of places that I might like. Her knowledge of NYC would help any traveler. Her home was clean, tidy & quite charming. She has a friendly cat, Ginger, that you need to be careful of as he is very fast and will try to run out of her unit as you are coming/going. I loved the neighbourhood & always felt safe (even coming home rather late from seeing shows). The area is right near the subway and a few shops where you can buy some groceries (as there is a mini fridge in the room). While I did spend little time at her place as I was exploring as much of the city as I could, staying there gave me a great feeling of what it would be like to live in NYC and to me was much more fun than staying in a hotel. Between all of this and the amazing price I highly recommend Zoe's "CHARMING ROOM WITH A VIEW". Thanks again Zoe!
Zoe has a very warm and fun spirit! She was always ready and willing to help with any suggestions for places to go and how to get there. Having lived in NYC the majority of her life she is very knowledgeable about the city! She was a joy to be around and I would certainly stay with her again! I also loved exploring more of Harlem than I have done before. There is so much to do there! So not only did I really enjoy Zoe and found her to be super helpful, but I also found the area to be really interesting. If you are a fun, creative person who wants a nice place to stay I highly recommend Zoe and her place!! Plus she has a very energetic and fun cat which for me is a big plus. :)
Zoe was a great host. She made me feel very welcome, gave me good advice about the city and was very organized.

stories. Love music, theater, dance, concerts, animals, dining out, exploring.
One of my favorite parts of NY is downtown. and also the Meat Packing District.
The High Line. I love walking the city and have offered to take my guest to special places they might not find on their own.
I am very friendly and easy to get along with, and will make you feel at home. I do have one cat who is very cuddly and loving.
My location is so so convenient.Trains stops right around the corner and you can be in midtown in ten minutes.Four trains, the A,B,C,D. And the area is very safe.
The lovely bedroom has a new bed , which is an American size FULL75" by 54 " and only sleeps one, the new mattress is firm and very comfortable. The entire apartment is peaceful and quiet with no traffic noise. All rooms face south, always sunny and you see lovely flowering trees.
Prefer females, and animal lovers, since I have a very friendly cat. Two flight walk up.
I offer the best coffee in town, from the famous ZABARS.
There are banks, supermarkets, pharmacies, organic juice bar around the corner.
Aside from the trains of A B C D, the number 1 train is two blocks away on Broadway. Once on Broadway there are wonderful Dominican pubs, as well as
Mexican and American. One of the top Yoga studios in NYC is only three blocks away.
