In the nearest vicinity to the Old Town walls stands our property with an garden enclosed by the walls. We live in a separate house but right in the garden there is a small cottage with two rooms. Rooms are very spacious and bright, with ensuite bathroom, air conditioning and a fridge.
Due to the garden and a walls that surround the property you can expect a quite vacation right next to the lively Dubrovnik old town.
If you take a two minute walk you will be able to enter the town from the northern entrance and few steps down will get you to the main Dubrovnik street. Inside the old town you have many shops, restaurants, and other attractions.
The public transportation is very convenient since one of the main Dubrovnik bus stations Pile is 5 minute walk away.
The other convenience is the private parking inside the garden free of charge. (just consider that all other public parking around the town are payable - 1 euro per hour 24/7).
This is a good place to stay, as long as you're not looking for anything too fancy. Very clean, in a quite area, with good access to the old town (granted, it is up some 200 stairs, but you shouldn't have to carry your luggage up it!). I would definitely stay here again.
The Greenroom is the perfect location in Dubrovnik. Meri greeted us with a big bottle of water, a map of the city and Old Town. We were very glad we did not stay in the old city, people we met carried their luggage up and down 256 steps. Meri's place Is very quite, situated in a lovely patio garden with fruit trees and flowers. You walk out the front gate and there is the entrance to the old city. A few blocks away is a great laundromat and stores for drinks and food.
Thank you Meri

The room is located in the perfect location. It is just 2 min walk to the Northern entrance. It was very easy for us to get jacket in the evening. It was hot in day time and freezing at night in the beginning of Oct.
It is also 2 min walk to the Cable car and airport bus station (same location).
The room is neat and tidy. We (2 girls) were happy that the linen and quilt are big enough for us to share. There is a fridge, kettle and air conditioner in the room. I love the trees in courtyard very much. I am from city. i haven't seen the tree with full of pomegranate, lemon and mandarin.
Meri is a friendly hostess and can speak basic English. Her 2 granddaughters are so lovely.
Here are some tips to reach her home from Split.
When you get off the couch in the main bus station, Dubrovnik, please stay in the station and wait for the public bus number 8. It stop over in this station shortly. You can buy the ticket in bus. You should get off in the 'Kapelica' station. Then, you walk down the hill until fire station. Her home/ the street 'Ul Maria Perica' is right behind the fire station.
very fine host
Just outside the city walls, very clean and calm.
We stayed in our room practically only for sleeping, but we guess, it´s agood choice in Dubrovnik.
The room was very neat and clean. The door of the room opens onto a lovely courtyard. The part of the courtyard that has a sitting area is covered by a grape arbor, which we found very pleasant. The courtyard was large and provided secure off the street parking for our car.
The room (as promised) is right by the city walls. We would walk to the old town for a few hours in the morning and then return to our room and the courtyard to relax during the hottest and busiest hours. We would then return to the old town for the evening.
Meri was a wonderful and accommodating hostess, making our stay all the more enjoyable.
There was a mix up when we first arrived so we had to wait outside for about an hour before Meri came. Otherwise, the location was just outside the city walls which was great. It was a little hard to find and her directions were a little confusing (just go straight to an info center and get directions and a map instead of wandering around looking for the street). It's near the fire station.
Clean, comfortable room in a perfect location just outside the city walls. If you have a car this is a great spot - secure, flat parking spot in her yard. Very hard to find an easy parking spot in Dubrovnik. Meri was a great host - I would definitely recommend staying here.
This is a perfect location to explore the stunning city. Friendly reception, friendly people.......all gooood!!
Meri was a great host! We got lost in the evening driving from the airport of Dubrovnik to the apartment. We called Meri and her friend helped us to get to the right place. They were all very helpful! The location is awesome, it's so close to the center (just 2 min walk). Also the beach is close (5-10 min walk). Moreover we had a private parking place (for free) which was great too. Dubrovnik is a beautiful city! There was always live music on the main street (every night), we liked it a lot. I would really recommend Meri's apartment!
