The Space

Take a little time out from your travells and spend some time on Arnarnes. We are located 24km north of Akureyri, right on the Fjord. A sweetwater lake, a beach and a forest are part of the land we own. You can go for walks, learn about all the birds that are nesting here and in spring you can go fishing. If your body is in need for some rejuvation, you can book a treatment or massage with me.
On sunny days there is a big sundeck waiting for you to relax.
The room has two single beds, you have access to a shared toilet and a shared bathroom.
Breakfast with homemade bread and jam is included, icelandic wild-herbal tea is available, handpicked from the farm. You are welcome to use the kitchen to prepare your meals or you can book a icelandic Dinner in advance.
There are no animals on the Farm except one Cat who lives outside.
Parking is available
Towels and bedlines are provided

  • The stay was ok - very small room and it seemed charges for everything from the list!

  • Eygló's house is a paradise-like place. It's not only clean, cozy and comfortable, but also of very great artistic taste. Every part of the house is so beautiful and lovely, even the field outside. It's also one of the best place for watching midnight sun set. We hope to have another chance to visit here for more days.

  • Eyglo has a wonderful home which should not be missed :)
Although my friend and I only had a short overnight stay, the home was very welcoming and lovely and we felt right at home.
Thank you for sharing your home!

  • Location is great and very close to town. The breakfast was delicious and as much as you could eat. Very helpful to be able to do our laundry for a few dollars as well. We also were able to go whale watching from the next town over (5 minute drive instead of an hour to Husavik). Overall a good experience.

  • Our stay, while brief was amazing. The house was very welcoming as were our hosts. The view was breathtaking. Our room was comfortable and warm. I wish we were able to stay longer and enjoy some of the other services that they offer. The breakfast was very filling and yummy and we were able to view Eyglo's art before we left. It was so amazing. Don't miss the homemade ruhbarb jam and danelion syrup!

  • Eyglo really lives in paradise, she doesn't lie! The place is ideally situated near a wonderful place, half way between Akureyri and Dalvik. We were really well welcomed and she has prepared a very good meal for us. A young german girl is working at Eyglo's and she is very helpful. We can recommend to stend at Eyglo's, even for several days. There is so much things to do and see all around! At Eyglo's, you feel like at home!

I have lived in the area almost all my life, so I can provide you with a lot of insider information. 15 years ago my husband and I quit farming. I have studied Natural Healing and Aromatherapie. My Healingroom is here on the Farm, so if you feel like it, you can book a treatment. I speak Icelandic and English, my English writing is not so good yet, so please excuse.
