Why rent a room when you get the whole place?
Gorgeous, all-private, mid-century duplex above the boulevard.
Easy one mile walk to downtown Ashland, the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and Lithia Park.
Owners live next door. We are happy to help you with suggestions or leave you with your privacy. He is an Ashland native and she is from Alaska.
The space is private, one level, approximately 800 sq ft, with stairs leading up to a large deck and great views of the valley and Grizzly Peak. Inside is nicely furnished with a full kitchen, full bathroom, washer and dryer, and a very comfortable queen bed in the larger bedroom. The smaller bedroom is a quiet sitting area sans a bed.
The neighborhood is a mix of medical offices, homes, condominiums and there is a small park across the street. The bus stop is three blocks away. Our favorite breakfast spot, The Breadboard, is just a few blocks away.
Plenty of room to relax and it is perfect for one or two people.

Although we only stayed one night, we had a fantastic time in Charles & Claire's apartment. The place is beautifully furnished, very comfortable and spotless. There are lots of interesting books around and a very cool vintage stereo. It's located close to downtown and there's a great view of the hills.
Great space on a quiet street but close enough to walk down to Main Street for a beer. Wonderfully decorated and I really appreciated John Denver's greatest hits on vinyl. Relaxing stop on a road trip and I'll definitely be stopping by again in the future.
Claire & Charles are wonderful hosts! The place is very nice and has a very comfy bed!! We brought groceries and made dinner in their well outfitted kitchen. Highly recommended.
We had a lovely stay at the Catalina St. duplex. Could only stay one night, but we would have been very comfortable staying longer. I was concerned about being next to the Ashland Hospital - it could have been very noisy - but the neighborhood turned out to be very quiet and safe.
The duplex is not walking distance to downtown, but only a short drive and plenty of free parking. Claire gave us a couple of great suggestions for vegetarian restaurants - Sesame and Pangea - and both were terrific.
The duplex was very clean and well stocked with basics. I loved that all the cleaning/bathing supplies were "green" products. A small microwave would be a plus but we got by without it and I really appreciated use of the indoor washer and dryer.
I also enjoyed the mid-century furniture and nature-inspired accents. It immediately felt like home. They have added nice touches all around the house that make for a lovely stay.
Claire and Charles,
Thanks, again, for the use of your Ashland duplex during our trip through Oregon. We had a wonderful stay.

What a great place to stay over and relax! Everything was perfect for our quick overnight stay. Bed was comfortable, kitchen was clean, and the living room area was spacious. Definitely one of the nicer places I have stayed at via Airbnb. Parking (street parking) was not a problem at all. Didn't get to meet Claire and Charles in person but it seems obvious that they really wanted us to enjoy our stay in Ashland.
Amazing place! My partner and I loved the mid-century furniture. Easy walk to downtown Ashland to enjoy the shops and sites. Claire and Charles were great hosts and very accommodating when we needed to stay in extra night. Hope to return in the summer for the Shakespeare festival.
Spent 6 nights here; overall very good accomodation for the price, clean throughout, fully equipped kitchen; VERY comfy bed. Good location, it's quiet and within very reasonable walking distance to downtown. I would have enjoyed having a microwave oven and maybe even a TV but rest assurred everything was 'as advertised' on the AirBnB description. This is an upstairs unit with exterior stairs.
Easy check in and out. The house is nicely located and well equipped. We enjoyed our two days here. The bed is very comfortable and the size of the house was very nice particularly since we had been travelling by car for the last 12 days. Good value.
Cute place. Comfy, & plenty of room. Everything you need in the kitchen. Quiet and close to downtown. One caveat: there are 2 short sets of stairs that lead up to the place from the street, so make sure you're stair-able.
This place was fantastic. My wife and I stopped here on our way up to Seattle and we were so pleased with our stay in Ashland. Claire and Charles made everything so easy and the place was clean and incredibly spacious. It's a little duplex and the Mayers live in the other unit so they're right there if you need them but were so quiet you wouldn't know the difference. The decorations were great and the pictures really didn't lie. We will definitely be spending more time in Ashland next time and their spot is a big reason for that.
