My husband and I had a wonderful and comfy stay at the Yellow Door. Even though the weather was cold, indoors was cosy. The couches are fantastically comfortable (the best for book reading), and really appreciated the coffee beans ready to make fresh ground coffee. All details were as described, quick and efficient contact, great location - we'll be back!
The Yellow Door was the perfect base for exploring the Blue Mountains. It had everything we needed, and we loved the little touches like fresh flowers & milk in the fridge. Thanks so much Pamela & Hugo.
We have had a good time at the Yellow Door. It is cozy and warm with just a few steps to town and everything around. Very communicative host as well.
My experience at The Yellow Door was extremely pleasant. The apartment itself is lovely; comfortably furnished and with most everything you're likely to require during your stay (fully equipped kitchen, bbq, internet, etc.). The location is also great - it's right in the centre of town, close to the main street with plenty of restaurants and cafes and not very far (a couple of minutes drive) from the major tourist attractions (e.g. the three sisters, the scenic railway). All in all it provided an excellent base for my visit to Katoomba.
We had a lovely stay. The place is very central to Katoomba and very comfortable. We used almost every tip about restaurants etc in the folder provided by the hosts even though we're quite familiar with the mountains.
This has been a wonderful AirBnB experience - smooth, prompt & straight-forward! Pam & Hugo were great hosts - very communicative and friendly, and quick to respond to messages! They also had very good tips on local restaurants to try in their welcome folder. Listing description of this property was accurate, and my husband & I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Yellow Door. Very clean, well-kept, spacious, fragrant (love it!), beautifully decorated and cosy, excellent location (very short walking distance to Big W, supermarket & shops, and short drive to amazing lookouts and waterfalls)... and there is a small but excellent collection of DVDs and music CDs. We were also especially intrigued by the lock on the door and are thinking of a similar one for our own house! We didn't use the kitchen nor the balcony/verandah and backyard spaces, but appreciate that these spaces would have been very handy if we had a longer stay. Would certainly recommend The Yellow Door to others, and would certainly consider staying here again if we return to the area. Thank you once again for your kind hospitality, Pam & Hugo!
