My family and I had a wonderful holiday staying with Chris, Ika and Tiara. Their place was clean, comfortable and the fresh eggs, fruits and vegetables were an added bonus. Thanks for making our stay so enjoyable. Eileen and family
Delightful country location. Ika and Chris made us very welcome and their gorgeous daughter Tiara brought us a plate of delicious cake. We would recommend this as a place to stay in the Queenstown area.
My mother and I had a fantastic visit. The cottage was very tidy, and everything was in working order. The host are very welcoming, and inviting. We ultimately loved the location, but I would say to make sure that you visit before dark. Once you know the location - nice and easy. Countryside is beautiful. Nice and tranquil.
Great location for Queenstown, and especially Arrowtown, and Vineyards. The gifts from the farm: Apples, tomatoes, courgettes, eggs, and elderflower syrup were a wonder surprise.
There couldn't be a better place to have spent 3 days in Queenstown. Apart from the accommodations alone (which are great), we really took a lot of joy from hearing all about the farms and about Chris and Ika's many adventures. But what really set the place apart for us was the amazing generosity and options of the farm. They offered us access to basically everything they had, including their pool, their gardens, their fruit trees, ect... The first night we made dinner out of everything we picked in their garden.
We couldn't have had a better first AirBnb New Zealand experience. Thanks Chris and Ika! If you're considering staying there, do not hesitate. It's a perfect way to be close to Queenstown but far enough to experience something truly special.
Our family really enjoyed our stay with Ika and her family, the accommodation was perfect for us and thanks for the courgettes we have still been eating them! We would stay here again as it was close to Arrowtown and the Willetts were friendly, welcoming people. Thank you so very much for having us.
We have been nicely welcome by Ika, her husband and their daughter; who directly play with our 2.5 years old daughter for hours. Then she show us their cozy country cottage that is really well sized for a family. The view from their cottage is an amazing 360 degree montains view. And very quiet by night, we didn't ear any sound of engine during the nights over there.
Very close to Arrowtown, Queenstown, Frankton and the impression to be so far in a remote area give a very nice impression of New Zealand wilderness.
And the plus point is the farm, where we walk around to visit, see the cws, feed the chickens,...
It was a really ice stay!
We had a lovely 1 week stay at the Cottage with Chris and Ika. The farm is peaceful and beautiful. A world away from the Queenstown zoo. There is great biking, fishing, and tramping in the area and a great base for exploring Otago.
My husband and I had the most wonderful time staying at Ika’s place for two nights. Of all the places we visited in New Zealand, it was the most enjoyable experience, and we loved being on a working farm. The location is excellent if you want the convenience of the big supermarkets only being 10 minutes drive away, but don’t want to be surrounded by tourists as much of Queenstown and the area is. Nearby is fantastic scenery, outdoor sports, vineyards, scenic trips, just loads and loads to keep busy when you are not just basking in the great scenery! There is lots of space in the building and Ika and her husband were great hosts. Next time we are back we will make a point of having a longer stay with them as it really was one of the highlights of our trip and comes highly recommended.
Fantastic accomodation, location and hosts. We highly recommend a stay in the cottage - bikes, pool, fresh vegies, plus geenrous hosts - all superb.
Absolutely an amazing experience. Ika and Chris were wonderful hosts, and their property is so nice! We really had a great time there. Wish we could have stayed for longer, but we are already planning to come back towards Queenstown again in the future.
