Moroccan Inspired, Mediterranean Themed Room near Castro

Duboce Triangle is a peaceful little neighboring community of The Castro. This room is located within one block of the Church Street MUNI station and accessible to almost all MUNI lines. Centrally located, we are only one block from Duboce Park, Two blocks from Castro, ten minutes from Downtown and provide many nightlife and day time activities for the San Francisco Visitor. Take the F line straight to Fisherman's Wharf and the Ferry Building or the 22 MUNI to Ghirardelli Square or The Fillmore (music Venue in Jazz District). There is always something exciting to see in San Francisco!

The room features a beautiful Bay window overlooking a fully grown tree (don't worry- there are blinds too!) It features hardwood floors, a memory foam Queen sized bed, organic cotton sheets and free access to WiFi (just ask).

You're welcome to use the large, modern kitchen and supplies and the extra half bath makes mornings a breeze. It's a great place to call home while you stay, and a quick trip to anywhere in SF!

We are located one block from Duboce Park, 2 blocks from Castro, Three blocks from The Lower Haight and 4 blocks from the Mission! We ARE central SF and getting anywhere is a breeze with the Church Street MUNI station just around the corner.

With nearly every bus line running through the Church Street MUNI, you can get everywhere you want to go in minutes. Downtown and SoMa are a ten minute bus ride, the Marina is 15-20 and Hayes Valley takes but a few minutes on the wonderful F Line Trolley!

But why leave the neighborhood at all!? A short walk gets you to bakeries, restaurant, clubs and bars- you have your pick in this neighborhood. I'm happy to suggest my favorites if interested, let me know!

I have plenty of maps and suggestions for activities that are outside the normal tourist box if you are interested. I've lived in SF for 8 years and there are always new and exciting things to do!

Overall Guest Satisfaction

Check In
  • I actually stayed in the other room in the apartment, but it was fine - nicely decorated and clean. The windows face onto the street but there wasn't much street noise at night so I slept well.

  • Ambere and Eph were awesome! This place is in the PERFECT location, it's very clean and everyone was very easy to work with! Thanks again!

  • I had a short but very pleasant stay in Ambere's Moroccan room. I really appreciated to stay quite centrally located in Castro and having many city attractions in walkable distance. It was lovely to meet Ambere and her flatmates who were very welcoming and friendly.

  • This was my first time using airbnb. I was a little surprised by the experience.

The room was fine. It matched the description and picture exactly. The bed was quite comfortable.

Eph (the only other person I ever saw) was nice. Every door to every room is always closed. There are apparently 4 people living/staying in this house(apartment?) at any given moment.

The house smelled funny. It was obviously cleaned on a regular basis, so I'm not sure what's going on there.

I was very surprised when I realized that there we no chairs or tables or common-area surfaces of any kind. If you want to sit down (to eat a meal or do a bit of work on your laptop for instance) you'll be sitting on your bed. This was an issue for me, as I needed a place to do some light work each evening.

The place works if you want to sleep or take a shower. I think the price is a bit steep for the lack of additional amenities.

  • I didn't get to meet Ambere, but I did meet her housemate Piam, who was very helpful and friendly. The room was very comfortable, and the location is excellent. Duboce Triangle may be my favorite area to stay in SF — easy access to great shops, cafés, restaurants, parks, transportation, and more.

  • Great apartment, great location and a warm welcome. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay. 5 minute walk to Whole Foods, Safeway and to the streetcar straight down Market Street to the city centre. The room is lovely, the apartment clean, comfortable and well equipped. Eph was friendly, helpful and made me feel very much at home. Many thanks.

  • Central location, comfortable bed, the ideal base of operations to explore the city.

Ambere could not be more good-natured, helpful and accommodating of everyone's lifestyle.

  • Enjoyed my stay at Ambere a lot. Spacious clean room with a very comfortable bed in a great location. She provided everything I needed and was very helpful.

  • Ambere was a great host. She was flexible and allowed an early check in after my epic 18.5 hour train journey from Portland and made sure that I had everything I needed during my stay. The Moroccan room was stylish with a very comfortable bed and in a lovely tree lined avenue in the Castro / Duboce, close to transport, restaurants and cafes. Loved San Francisco and have no hesitation in recommending Ambere as a host.
