Mediterranean Themed Room near Castro
Duboce Triangle is a peaceful little neighboring community of The Castro. This room is located within one block of the Church Street MUNI station and accessible to almost all MUNI lines. Centrally located, we are only one block from Duboce Park, Two blocks from Castro, ten minutes from Downtown and provide many nightlife and day time activities for the San Francisco Visitor. Take the F line straight to Fisherman's Wharf and the Ferry Building or the 22 MUNI to Ghirardelli Square or The Fillmore (music Venue in Jazz District). There is always something exciting to see in San Francisco!
The room features a beautiful Bay window overlooking a fully grown tree (don't worry- there are blinds too!) It features hardwood floors, a memory foam Queen sized bed, organic cotton sheets and free access to WiFi (just ask).
You're welcome to use the large, modern kitchen and supplies and the extra half bath makes mornings a breeze. It's a great place to call home while you stay, and a quick trip to anywhere in SF!
We are located one block from Duboce Park, 2 blocks from Castro, Three blocks from The Lower Haight and 4 blocks from the Mission! We ARE central SF and getting anywhere is a breeze with the Church Street MUNI station just around the corner.
With nearly every bus line running through the Church Street MUNI, you can get everywhere you want to go in minutes. Downtown and SoMa are a ten minute bus ride, the Marina is 15-20 and Hayes Valley takes but a few minutes on the wonderful F Line Trolley!
But why leave the neighborhood at all!? A short walk gets you to bakeries, restaurant, clubs and bars- you have your pick in this neighborhood. I'm happy to suggest my favorites if interested, let me know!
I have plenty of maps and suggestions for activities that are outside the normal tourist box if you are interested. I've lived in SF for 8 years and there are always new and exciting things to do!
I work from home so I am generally available to chit chat and make recommendations on places to see, eat and how to get there by MUNI or other modes of transportation.
The Church Street MUNI station is one block away and connects you to every MUNI line that runs through San Francisco.
We have Lyft, Uber and ZipCar as well as taxis, if you prefer and there are Ferries to get you to the East Bay or up to Marin just a few stops away on MUNI.
No outside guests past 10pm
Smoking outside only
If you use a dish, you need to wash, dry and put it away
My stay in San Fran with Ambere was better than I expected , her location is central to everything and I had no problem doing almost everything on foot , her place is perfect for a BNB traveller and the bed is amazingly comfortable . Ambere was a great host and more than happy to help out with her local knowledge . I miss them and would definitely stay with Ambere again .
It was a good experience to stay at Ambere's place. Very easy to contact, concerned to organize your arrival as well as possible. The room is very comfortable.
Ambere is really nice and helpful! We really appreciate it! Nice and quite central place! Highly recommended! Regards Robert and Khatrine (from Germany)
The room was very lovely and the mattress was amazing! We did not meet Ambere and actually just let ourselves in getting the key in a lockbox. This was totally fine with us. There are a few things to note that I don't feel were made clear in the room description. First, there are other people who live in the apartment (we saw 4 others and there was still another bedroom). This could be an issue for some because there was only one bathroom (however, the sink and shower are in a separate room from the toilet). So it could be possible that 8 people would have to share the bathroom. This was not an issue for us at all as we only had to wait a few minutes once to get into the bathroom. Also, the entrance and stairs smelled strongly like pee, but the smell did not reach into the main part of the apartment and we couldn't smell it in the bedroom. And again, the mattress was amazing---it felt like a memory foam--and the kitchen and bathroom were nice and clean. I would recommend this place to others. It is located close to public transportation.
Thanks for the feedback! I was out of town and apparently a homeless man was forced to leave our stoop by my roommate (yes it's a shared flat not and Entire Home listing) ... I noticed the smell when I returned too! I had the carpets cleaned and deodorized so hopefully that will solve that!
I look forward to meeting you next time!
My host was out of town for the week, but her bf, Marcel, met me and showed me around the place. It's in a great location, and Marcel quickly showed me through the flat and ran through the 'house rules'. I was made to feel welcome and the place looked like it was described - large room, very comfortable surroundings.
The location is very close to Castro and Marcel gave me some pointers about how to get around, good places to go and see. He took the time to go through one of my maps with me to indicate other good areas to see. If I needed to text, responses were prompt (from both Ambere and Marcel), accurate and courteous.
There can be more than one guest, so I wondered if one bathroom would cause problems - it didn't.
I'd recommend staying here.
Nice place, clean, and convenient. You have everything you need for a traveling businessman.
The room is nice and the location (Castro) is really great. We did not meet Ambere and did not have a lot of contact with her friend who lives there, so it felt more like a hotel. We did not feel too welcome compared to other places we have stayed at but the room is definitely clean and we really liked the neighborhood.
