Such amazing hosts! Andy and Linda really went above and beyond to make my stay feel like home, from freshly baked cookies to helping me catch a bus. And their dog Taco is just the sweetest! Also, the bed I slept on may have been made of clouds.
The location is great, a leisurely 15 minute walk from almost everything, and the neighbourhood has great historic houses. Just amazing!
Excellent place to stay. Andy and Linda were lovely hosts. Came home to freshly baked cookies one night. Very comfortable bed. Gorgeous house. Would most definitely stay again! Thank you for making our stay most comfortable Andy and Linda!!
Linda and Andy were great hosts and we enjoyed our talks with them. The room and the bed were comfortable. The area is great for walking and dining.
This was our very 1st airbnb so we weren't sure what to expect when you are welcomed into someone's home as total strangers - it was a great experience. Linda & Andy are warm welcoming hosts who make you feel at home from the outset. Great bed so good night's sleep but if you don't want to wake up at the 1st crack of light bring along an eyemask; there's a skylight over the bed. Linda was most helpful directing us to restaurants within a few short blocks, fabulous local food & wine was had at "Stage", a wine bar. We knew we had had a good time with Linda & Andy when it seemed as we left, the visit had been too short.
This was our first experience with AirBnB and it will not be our last. Any and Linda were very welcoming and friendly. We were in Victoria to settle our daughter at UVic and the ability to cook her a home cooked meal on our last night was awesome - it felt like a home away from home. Thank you Andy and Linda! PS - the bed was soooo comfortable - we slept 10 hours straight the first night!
Great stay, wonderful city! Thank you!
Andy and Linda were out of town during our stay, but their son Mitch was managing the place. Upon our arrival we found a note inviting us to make ourselves at home and make use of anything we would need in the house. The bedrooms are spacious and clean as well as the bathroom (one bedroom did not have curtains which could be the only tiny inconvenience for those who are no early birds). A female dog is living here too, so you should definitely be pet-friendly if you want to stay there but she is extremely well trained and nice!
Our stay at Linda and Andy's was lovely! My 18 year old son and I needed separate spaces, and we found this in this beautiful home. We were invited to enjoy the entire cozy house, including two sunny decks and the park-like backyard. I picked a good book off their bookshelf and read it relaxing back there, after full days of cycling around Victoria using one of the bikes they offered. Fernwood is a great little community to explore. I would not hesitate to go back to stay here. Our host was friendly, inviting, and helpful, and Taco the dog was so sweet. Thanks for a great little getaway.
Andy and Linda, our stay at your place was an amazing experience! Our first trip with AirBnB and you made us feel so welcomed at your home, above and beyond our expectations. The extra effort to provide us with a breakfast, the pointing us in the right direction to sites to see and roads to travel and for joining us for a neighborhood outing.
