Amy was so welcoming ! She answers really quickly and is always available to help us, even during the trip.
The appartment was really confortable (3 bedrooms is a must !) and bigger than we expected. I visited Portland with 3 friends, and we were happy to have a home away from home :)
It was also really close to the city center (Congress street is full of nice cafés and boutiques). The appartment is next to an hospital, but it was really quiet.
I was my first experience with Air Bnb, and definitly not the last !
I highly recommend it !
Amy was very prompt in her communications with us, and we were generally happy with how everything went. The apartment is perfectly situated in Portland's (arguably) nicest part of town -- The West End -- so it was super convenient. Thanks Amy!
Amy was very communicative before our visit. She let us "check in" early; this made our arrival in Portland much easier. Based on our communications we knew what to expect with parking and how to get into the apartment. Amy provided a sheet of paper that gave more details about the apartment. This proved very helpful; we referred to it many times.
Once we were in the apartment Amy was responsive but not intrusive. At our request she provided kitchen items and light bulbs to replace some that were burned out. We liked that Amy stopped by to introduce herself and to see how things were going. I texted Amy a couple times. She responded quickly every time.
The apartment's location is great. We were within walking distance to downtown and parking was not a problem. We always found a spot (or two) on the street. Had we been unable to park on the street, we had the driveway as an option. The hospital was not very loud at all. It definitely didn't keep us awake.
The furnishings were simple but functional. Everything was pretty clean. It was really great to have three bedrooms. The kitchen was the highlight. We were able to comfortably cook numerous meals over a few days.
Amy's apartment was a great way to stay in Portland. We made a great decision and would not hesitate to stay at her apartment again.
This was our second time staying with Amy in Portland and we couldn't be happier. We have found "the place to stay in Portland", as the flat is close to downtown, excellent restaurants (Little Tap House and Hot Suppa), and shops. We highly recommend the flat for four people!
The place is exactly as advertised. Loved the neighborhood and Amy was very accommodating. I'd stay here again.
The apartment was exactly as described. The location worked out perfectly for our group and we were even able to walk to most of the restaurants and shops we wanted to visit. Amy was very welcoming.. A fantastic host.
And this is my family and our dog Fred! We moved to Portland eight years ago and LOVE it. Maine has everything we love to do- hiking, camping, kayaking, sailing, skiing, snowboarding. Plus I love the Buy Local theme that permeates all of Portland from restaurants to farmer's markets from coffee shops to breweries.
I love traveling and going on adventures, across the world or in my own backyard. There is so much out there to explore.
