My husband and I live in a 3 bedroom flat, reconstructed recently on our 50 year old parental house. This piece of land was purchased in 1962 for INR.7000. The plot of land is rebuild to a 4 floor building, with one flat on each floor. We occupy 2nd floor of the building. Each flat is of more than 1500 square feet of area with 3 bedrooms and a big living room provided with all amenities..
We are located in old North Delhi area, and you can feel the warmth of neighborhood community. This area is outside the Mughal Delhi and therefore less crowded. Each bedroom has a double bed and attached bathroom and 2 guests can stay comfortably. Morning tea and breakfast will be served by me and if guests like to enjoy Indian curries and food from Punjab, Maharashtra, Rajsthan, Tamilnadu, then that can be cooked by me and served for lunch and dinner on very nominal charges. Our Guests can share the living room and dining room with us. You can watch t.v. and listen to music. In the living room desk top is available with Internet and Wi-fi facilities..

We had a lovely stay with Manjula and her husband. They were very easy-going, gave us great sight-seeing advice(and food recommendations), had a metro card and map ready for us(amazing!)(Manjula even walked us to the metro station-15 min walk), cooked us lovely and varied Indian breakfasts, let us use their kitchen and vegetables to cook a soup when we were sick, and overall provided a safe home to stay in while in Delhi. We were extremely grateful to them for booking our train ticket to Jaipur for us, and ontop of that, taking us to the station and walking us directly to the right train, for no charge. This kindness is heart-warming. The room was lovely, well-furnished, luxurious bathroom, with a heater provided to take the chill off. The only down-side was the hard mattress. Very well located, and in a quiet residential neighborhood, which was a bit dusty and dirty, but this is Delhi, and what Manjula offers to travellers is really a great deal! Thank you again for the lovely home-cooked meals and explanations, the tea times, the free-flowing filtered water, the ginger-honey for my cold, and for opening your home to us!
This is a great apartment with great hosts! I felt at home - Both Majula and her husband were very engaging and generous. They went out of their way to ensure a comfortable stay. The dinner table and tea time conversations -- on topics ranging from politics to culture were a valuable bonus to the comforts of their newly constructed apartment. I have made two good friends in them!
I had a really good time staying at Manjula's. She is welcoming and kind, and cooks delicious meals from all over India. Her rooms are extremely confortable and clean, in a brand new building. The flat is located in North Delhi, not so close to the city centre and South Delhi, but it takes 5 minutes to get to the nearest metro station by cycle-rickshaw. I would definitely recommend to stay with her.
