Sylvie was an absolute pleasure to work with. She is so friendly, patient, and kind. The house and surrounding grounds are GORGEOUS!! The pictures really can't do the property justice. It is a short walk into the cute little town. Sylvie provided a well stocked welcome with local apple juice, rosé, butter, and a baguette. What a welcome! The river next to the house is beautiful and peaceful. One thing: beware of the mosquitoes. I have about 50 bites. I thought I was good with using the repellent, but I didn't use it often enough. Just be aware of that. Sylvie let us park out front after check out so we could go to the market on Sunday. It was a very lovely stay in a gorgeous home and great location. Thank you, Sylvie!
Sylive was a fantastic host. The property is as in the photos, spacious for 3 of us, and we had a lovely outdoor area where we took our breakfast. The house is decorated in a very homely style, very clean & fresh towels were provided. There is an air-conditioning unit in the lounge if it gets very hot.
really love the cozy house and elegant house owner. love everything of sorgue.miss there very much
Many thanks to Ms. Sylvie for the warm and thoughtful hospitality! One week before our arrival she send us a message included the detailed contact information. When we arrived at the appointed time, Ms. Sylvie already waiting at the door to greet us, and the whole house all set up, giving us great sense of surprise! The house has a beautiful little garden, and outdoor BBQ space and equipment. A river flowing by at the backyard. Saying hello to the swimming ducks in the morning was one of my great pleasures. The arrangement of the house is classical and warm, the bedrooms and toilet were clean and comfortable. Kitchen supplies readily available, mineral water and juice in the refrigerator, also french bread, jam and coffee. Ms. Sylvie introduced us the methods of use and precautions about room facilities very carefully and patiently, including recommendations for nearby restaurants, attractions and maps. The three days here is one of our most beautiful memories in the south of France. House location is very good, about 10-15 minutes walk from the city center, parking is acceptable in the house garden. Staying here to play around l'isle-sur-la-Sorgue or visit towns in Luberon mountains and Avignon is very suitable and convenient. Have a tour in Provence, I highly recommend you to choose Ms. Sylvie's beautiful and cozy house as the rest of the residence, at the same time you can feel the southern French village of beauty and passion :)
Sylvie is a great host. She promptly replied to messages and welcomed us at arrival. The house is set in a great garden with several different 'zones' so that everyone can find a corner they like. House has a thematic interior (being close to many antique shops really shows here) and feels very authentic, if you're into that kind of thing. There is also a big aquarium that my daughters really liked. House is located within 5 minutes walking to the town where you can find bakeries/cafes/shops. In addition, Sylvie has two bikes so I did a quick morning run for croissants to the town (5 min back and forth), and then we enjoyed the breakfast in the garden.
As other reviewers mentioned, there is no air conditioning so you should be diligent about closing shutters/windows for a day to keep reasonable temperature inside. One thing to be aware is that mosquitoes can become very annoying (at least in mid-July, when we visited), so bring your repellent.
Absolutely wonderful! was there to great us and show us around.. The location couldn't have been better! It got fairly quiet after dark, so no worries about sleeping well! We will absolutely look to stay here again! We recently stayed in Nice for 2 nights - my husband and I and our 2 friends. . The house was clean , big and comfortable. 3 bedroom , big and useful kitchen. perfect localization house was very closed heart of the Provence. our host very kindly , polite and helpfull. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this house to other.
thank you Sylvie::))
We had 4 great nights at Sylvie's house. The garden was as beautiful as the photos! The beds very comfortable and although this has been a super hot July in France and there was no AC, the house stayed cool during the day and night (we only had to close the shutters).
We cooked on the outside wood oven and had a great time. Everything you might need to create an awesome meal after enjoying the market in L'isle is provided to you.
Sylvie was very welcoming. We had a chilled bottle of rose waiting for us when we arrived! She also provided cereal, butter, milk, bread and jams for breakfast. It was a very nice time.
I think it is mentioned in the description but you should keep in mind that while you can see the Sorgue river from the property and enjoy the ducks, it is not actually possible to swim because the access is very difficult (the ladder going down is not an easy way in and out).
