Covering an area of 60 m2 on 3 levels, this typical town house of the historic center of Arles welcomes you to an excellent level of comfort.

The space

Covering an area of 60 m2 on 3 levels, this typical town house of the historic center of Arles welcomes you to an excellent level of comfort.
On the ground floor, entrance and bathroom with tub and toilet, first floor kitchen very equipped (gas stove with electric oven / grill, refrigerator, food processor, blender, espresso machine) and large table for meals at 2 th floor, with comfortable lounge chairs easily moved to accommodate the space as you hear, large library and TV. Large room 16 m2 with 1 bed 2 places 160cm wide latex good density on tatami natural materials, wool carpets and armchair with footrest. There is also a thick futon mattress for two people, rolled against the wall, you can sit in the bedroom or in the living room (once moved chairs) at your convenience.
The materials used for restoration (cement tiles, woodwork ...), the color and carefully selected furnishings help make it pleasant and enjoyable place.
Traditional shops are within easy walking distance, including an excellent butcher, dairy, bakers, grocers. There are also restaurants, cafes, wine bars, a florist, the Actes Sud book, film and steam. On Saturday morning, you will be close to the market that extends along the entire length of the old center.

The Roquette neighborhood where the house is located is a former harbor area bordered by the Rhone, the flowery streets, fresh, secret and riddled with mansions are an invitation to linger.
The central district of the Forum, and the arenas are within walking distance, the main museums (Museum of Ancient Arles, Réattu museum ...) and monuments (cryptoporticos, arenas, antique theater, churches and chapels, baths ... ) are also in the old center or near Arles immédiate.Vous appreciate for its softness, the bonhomie of its people and its unique heritage. The festival of photography, one of the South's summer, music and theater as well as exhibitions and festivities programming are all highlights of the city. Wildlife and Natural Regional Park of Camargue beaches are 40 km, the Alpilles are 20 km, Avignon and Nîmes (also served by train and car) within 40 km.
 It is easy to park next to the housing, but it does not expect to find a parking spot precisely at the door. Prefer the Boulevard des lices (careful though at the Saturday morning market) or the adjacent streets, just 3 minutes walk and there is also a paid car park boulevard des lices also 5 minutes walk.
If you opt for the train, the train station is within 20 minutes walk along the Rhone, you can also choose to come by bus from the station of Nîmes, Arles better served (with the C30 board General Edgard for less than 2 euros). Nimes Airport (also served by bus from Nimes) is 30 km from the house. You can also prefer to move to Arles Taco (kind of bike with a trailer equipped with driver seat!), Or come from the station to the house (website (URL HIDDEN)

This house is my main outside periods of vacation and I travel home, so it is custom, furniture, decor are precious to me and I thank you for the respect accordingly, it is also asked you to take off your shoes access the second floor (living room and bedroom with carpet rather delicate wool) Smoking and pets are allowed on the ground floor and first floor. Like many houses Arles, the stairs are steep and require a lot of attention, especially if you come with children. The room overlooks a very quiet courtyard, silence you enjoy and, of course, you will see in return.
 The linen, towels, linens commodities necessary (oil, coffee, sugar ...) are included, as well as wireless internet connection;
Extra cleaning service if needed. Please contact me. see u soon.

Lilian's house is in a great location in Arles. It was easy to locate and within walking distance of everything we wanted to see. It is a good house for adults but might be problematic with children because the stairs are steep.

This is a very special townhouse -- charming, unusual, romantic. Lilian's artistic touch is apparent throughout the house. Many thoughtful amenities and the house is very clean. His friend Wally met us and she was so wonderful and gave us fantastic advice on how best to enjoy the area. Speaking of which, the house is perfectly located to take advantage of this beautiful city.

My mother and I had a wonderful stay at Lilian's home in Arles. The home is perfectly located, with easy access to main roads, parking, and the quaint city enter of Arles. It's in the beautiful and chic Roquette neighborhood, and the home itself is tastefully decorated, comfortable, and stocked with everything one might need, including an Italian espresso maker. Lilian made us feel so at home! He met us promptly, helped us park our car, and even carried our luggage (which my 60 year old mother was very appreciative of!). He also took a lot of time to give us restaurant recommendations in Arles and Aix, tell us about the area, and gave us maps and books to use for our stay; it was wonderful to have all of these local tips for our trip. It is a beautiful place to stay with a gracious host, and Arles is well-worth a visit on your trip to the South of France!

Lilian was exceptionally helpful when we arrived - he even parked our car for us to ensure we had a safe (free) parking spot nearby and helped us carry our luggage. The townhouse was ideal for exploring the historic neighborhood, where Van Gogh painted, good restaurants and the Rhone river, plus it was quiet and well-equipped. Lilian is a delight - a great sense of humor, thorough in explaining everything about the townhouse and overall, a warm and welcoming person. He had great coffee and showed us how to work the espresso machine. This was a great place to stay. The stairs to the bedroom are narrow, so it would not be good for anyone with mobility issues.

Après des études en art, c'est sentimentalement que j ai décidé d'habiter Arles il y a 7 ans. J'ai régulièrement la nécessité de m absenter de cette maison que j'ai restauré moi même et vous la propose pour des courts séjours.
