Martin and Jo have a beautiful home and it was an absolute delight to stay there. Martin and Jo were great at providing suggestions for walks, swims and runs in the area and made us feel very welcome. Definitely recommend staying here if you're visiting Penrith!
My sister and I with our 5 children had a lovely time at Martin and Jo's house. The house its self is beautiful and full of character. The children loved the mezzanine & the views from there were amazing. The house was clean & well equipt with everything one needs to say away from home. Penrith its self was a nice little town, great chips at the award winning chippy. There was plenty of activities all around Prenrith and we will be back to discover more. Many thanks for a great stay.
Martin and Jo have a lovely house, very well kept and fully provisioned for a group. Four of us spent four nights at the cottage, using it as a base to go walking in nearby Ullswater and up Scafell Pike. We found it comfortable and clean, close to local shops etc in Penrith, but outside the main centre so nice and quiet. The wood burning stoves in kitchen and living room are terrific, as is the sofa in the loft conversion with a great view. Would happily go back.
Martin & Jo's house was extremely beautiful, in a very peaceful and friendly neighbourhood. The house was well-equipped for our stay and Martin & Jo were very friendly and welcoming. It was a great place for us to stay while visiting the Lake District, which is just a short drive away.
Lovely home on a quiet street, great information about the area provided. The views from the top floor (4th) can't be beat over the cumbrian valleys! Would have really enjoyed staying longer, the garden was absolutely fantastic for sitting in the sunshine, reading and lunch outside.
As Martin & Jo mention there are quite a few floors so anyone with mobility issues should be careful. Penrith is a lovely little town and you're walking distance to shops, pubs, etc. Great spot for a few days around the lake district.
Me and my friends had an amazing time in Penrith. Martin and Jo's home is beautiful, very spacious but cosy at the same time. Really nice to come back to after a long day exploring the Lake District! Martin was very helpful orienting us on the first night and gave lots of great tips on where to eat, drink and explore during our stay.
I highly recommend you stay at Martin and Jo's home!
