Martin and Jo met us and showed us around their lovely home. It's a beautiful house and very spacious for a family with small children. There's also an enclosed garden which the kids loved playing in. Penrith is convenient to explore the lakes less than half an hour away. We also enjoyed eating out in the town.
This is one beautiful house. Nicely decorated, the warmth of wood in many places, nice kitchen, large bathroom and faucets in all but one bedroom, very convenient. On 4 levels so you must not be afraid of stairs, but we found this rather charming! The living room on the top floor has a good view of the city and of the Lake District mountains in the background. My daughter said her bed was the most comfortable she had ever slept in. It was easy to park the car just by the door. The street is very quiet, in a residential area so shops and restaurant need some walking or driving. We certainly would go there again and recommend this house to anyone (provided the stairs are no problem... But that's just for 1 bedroom as the other 2 and the bathroom are on the 2nd floor). The description in the Airbnb site is accurate and it really is as nice as the pictures suggest.
The house was lovely. One of the nicest houses I've stayed in. Not one issue and Martin n Jo leave you to your own space. I'd love to go back
My family and I arrived slightly early but Jo was very accommodating. The house is beautiful and very homely. It was very clean and had everything we needed to cook when we wanted. The upstairs lounge has a stunning view and was lovely to look out at the view whilst relaxing. There are several supermarkets near by. The location is fab to explore Penrith and the lakes. We had a fantastic break - thank you :)
Great weekend in a lovely house. Beautiful kitchen. Quirky and unique. Everything you could ask for in a place including a wonderful loft space to look at the beautiful views. Not forgetting the bottle of wine which was left to help us unwind.
Lovely house, great location and helpful hosts. We got locked out and Martin was very efficient and helpful in getting us back in. Dog friendly, our pooch had a marvellous stay. Thanks!
We had an amazing experience staying at Martin and Jo's house. The house and garden were truly beautiful (amazing woodwork in the house) and everything well catered for. We all hope to return soon one day.
