This is a well estabilished older area of Anchorage. It is also a mismash of people and how we live in Anchorage. Our neighbors are the realist people you could ever meet. They also have a well of knowledge about Alaska. They work hard, live here 24/7. It is a true community.

There are many local restaurants nearby. All very good. And everything under our all night sun you can think of.We have information for you when you arrive. We are always a phone call away, and the neighbors are always more than helpful.

There is a bus stop 3 blocks away if you don't want to navigate the streets of Anchorage. We love taking the bus downtown. No hassle parking a car, and then you can enjoy a few brewskies at one of our fine local brewpubs.

  • I'm overdue on my feedback, but only have positive things to say about my stay. My first few days, ever, in Alaska used Tim and Katie's as a base of operations. The location was great for getting around town for first timers, I slept exactly 1 million times better than I ever have in a Hotel, and any place I can scramble my own eggs deserves a star unto itself. A strong recommend, thanks guys!

  • Although we never got to meet Tim or Katie, our stay here at Lincoln House was a great and easy experience. Due to some circumstances, we actually stayed in Lincoln House (the upstairs part) instead of Lincoln House II, which is what this review is for.

The neighborhood is conveniently located right near Anchorage Airport. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, pots, a kettle, and there were some muffins, fruit cups, bananas, coffee, and tea when we got there!

Each bedroom had a flat screen TV, and the sofa was large enough to become a bed. There was also an air mattress provided - it comfortably fit 6 people.

The living room had a TV with digital channels. There is also a surround speaker system.

The shower water pressure was a little low, but that is not something to complain about.

Overall, our stay was great. Clean, safe, quiet, and central. We will definitely stay here when we go back to Anchorage.

    Response from Tim And Katie:

Kaz, thanks for the review. We did change out the shower head after your stay and the pressure has improved. Glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay at the Lincoln House and you are definitely welcome back if you find your plans lead you back to Alaska.

  • Tim and Katie were great to work with and very helpful. The house was nice and very clean. I will stay here again if it works out!

  • My third overall Airbnb experience was excellent. We rolled into the rear driveway spot and unpacked easily into the two-bedroom apartment. We found plenty of space for the three of us with the two sizable bedrooms and large living room with sofa and recliner. I think it was the only time we turned on a TV during the trip. We cooked one meal since we were tired from the day hike.

Overall, it's in a great location quite convenient to the airport and downtown areas.
