House Rules

Rule number one is that you should treat our house as if it were your own, and we really hope that you will feel at home. For example, you are free to use all ingredients and such that you can find in our kitchen. Rule number two is to do whatever you like to have a good time in Amsterdam. That is the most important thing!

Just some points we ask you to keep in mind:
Our neighbors appreciate if you don't make any loud noise between 22:00h - 9:00.
Please do not invite any non-paying guests in our house. If you wish to meet others we suggest you meet in one of the lovely cafes or restaurants that are nearby - or in the park!
Smoking is possible outside on the balcony. Please don't smoke in the house.

Well, just generally please be a bit thoughtful of our neighbours - but that goes without saying :)

Finally, please leave the house in reasonable order when you leave. Cleaning stuff etc. is available. Within reason of course, for example you won't need to do the laundry! Alternatively, if you prefer to leave a big mess and don't want to be bothered with any cleaning, please do! Just leave €50,00 on the kitchen table and we will take care of everything!

Great place to stay a little west of central Amsterdam nearby the beautiful Rembrandt Park. Easy bike ride to the centre and close to cafes and shops. There is also a tram station super close. Lucas and Bori were easy to deal with and there apartment is lovely to stay in. I loved the neighbourhood and would stay there again.

We had a great time in Lucas's apartment. The host was kind enough to keep everything organised with a list of things to look out for and make our stay enjoyable. The kitchen was fully loaded with all the necessary appliances and cutlery and a few consumables as well so that we don't have any start up troubles. The apartment was neat and clean and was exactly like mentioned in the description. Thank you Lucas for all the help and support. Thanks.

Lucas and his wife Bori are very welcoming, friendly and open people. 4 of us have been staying at their flat during New Year 2016 for 3 nights. We had some problems with transport on arrival to Amsterdam and were quite late, therefore we did not met Lucas and his wife themselves, but everything was perfect as their neighbour Peter met us and showed around the apartment. Apartment is really beautiful, warm, cozy, artistic. We also have got welcoming letter in the kitchen with helpful indicators on "what to see" in Amsterdam and useful notes on how to use everything in the flat (wifi password, TV, dishwasher, etc.). Thanks a lot! Everything was just perfect! Our best recommendations for Lucas! :)

I have been in many Airbnb apartments however this was my best experience so far. Lucas was in contact with me from a day of reservation till a day of coming. He provided me with all the necessary information so we could avoid any suprises. It is really a pitty we could not meet each other but yet his neighbour was also very kind. Apartment is very cosy, nice furnitered and has everything you need to survive during your stay :) It is about 30 minutes on foot from city center or 10 minutes by tram. Nearest supermarket is 5 minutes away. On a table we found a guide regarding house rules and some Amsterdam tips. Please have in mind that Lucas is living in this apartment and he leaves it especially for Airbnb stays. It made us feel more responsible for a place :) Summing up - thanks Lucas for our stay. Staying at your apartment really makes a difference during Amsterdam trip. I do recommend it!

Our stay in Amsterdam has been amazing also thanks to this apartment. It is in a very good position even if you have to get the public transport to get quickly in the city center and the Neighborhood is very quiet and safe. The apartment is not very big but for 3/4 young people it's perfect, very clean, full of things (also food and beverage) and it's very silent. Lucas wasn't in Amsterdam in our stay here but one of his friends received us when we arrive and it was very friendly with us and explained all. I surely will be back here! Imanol

Lucas and Bori weren't able to greet us but their friend Pieter stepped into the breach and explained all about the flat and how things worked. The apartment was smaller than the pictures represented but by no means pokey. The bathroom is quite narrow but fully functioning. Location-wise we were just 15 mins away from the center by tram which was great, especially for the early start to join the queue for the Anne Frank House. We were very comfortable in the apartment and enjoyed shopping at the local supermarket for food and provisions, although less able-bodied people would struggle with the steep steps up to the second floor - we could barely get our suitcases up!. I would definitely recommend the flat to a small family (there were three of us). More detailed info about the nearby square with its shops and restaurants would have been useful. I couldn't access the information Lucas had put on airbnb from my phone while staying there and only discovered it on our last day. All in all though a good apartment, ideally located and very comfortable and clean.

Lucas and Bori are totally nice hosters. They helped us before and during our stay with all we needed and aswered our questions friendly and at great lenght. Thanks to them and their loveley home we had a great time in Amsterdam. From the apartment we got to all the main points in the city in less than 10 minutes by bicycle and got a discount at the bike rental just around the corner fron the apartement. We didn't use the kitchen much, but there would have been all utilies needed to cook and spend the nights at home. Thanks again for the grat expirience!

My wife Bori and me are open minded, friendly people, wit h a keen eye to the people around us, irrespective of how well we know them. Well, let's say: we try to be! We will leave it up to you whether we manage. In any case, we love to meet new people, and AirBNB gives us an excellent opportunity for that. Both by travelling ourselves and by receiving guests. We really love to live in Amsterdam and we like to give people the opportunity to get acquainted with this beautiful city, from inside out, for a reasonable price! So... let's meet!
