We’re not a polished resort. Not even close, and frankly, that’s the point. The unit you’re staying in is full of quirks, creaks, and surprises that come with age, and you might notice that some updates are still waiting their turn. With that comes a rare chance to stay inside a piece of history.
We ask for your grace and a spirit of adventure. The space may be a little rough around the edges but full of warmth and soul. Your stay directly supports our mission to breathe life into the ranch.
The space
The Space:
There are two bedrooms, both beds are queen size to allow for the cozy space. You will find the quaint kitchen stocked with all your essentials: coffee pot, large fridge, toaster oven, utensils, induction stove and pots and pans. Relax in the private porch with your morning coffee and/or sit outside at sunset to see the beautiful mountain lines, saguaros and be amazed to be visited by some wildlife. This is a desert ranch, so there are some desert-aware instructions your hosts will provide when you arrive! Come stay and enjoy our unique accommodations!
This unit is part of a ground level 3-plex.
Tucson Mountain Guest Ranch – Stay with History, Heart, and a Few Quirks
Welcome to our little corner of the desert, where saguaros stand tall, time moves slower, and every crack in the adobe has a story to tell.
The Tucson Mountain Guest Ranch isn’t your average getaway—it’s part of a living restoration project rooted in care, patience, and deep respect for the past. Once a retreat for legends like John Wayne, Clark Gable, and Eleanor Roosevelt, the ranch holds decades of desert lore in its sunbaked bones. Most of the structures here date back to the 1930s and 1940s, and while we’re working hard to bring them back to life, it’s a process we’re taking organically and delicately—just a small group of folks with a lot of love for this land.
We’re not a polished resort. Things aren’t perfect here, and frankly, that’s the point. The unit you’re staying in is full of quirks, creaks, and surprises that come with age. The plumbing might grumble, the floors may slope, and you might notice that some updates are still waiting their turn. But with that comes a rare chance to stay inside a piece of Arizona history.
We ask only for your grace and a spirit of adventure. The space is rented as is, and though it may be a little rough around the edges, it’s full of warmth and soul. Your stay directly supports our mission to breathe new life into the ranch—every visit helps us inch closer to restoring its former splendor.
So come enjoy the desert, the old-world charm, the imperfect beauty—and be a part of something bigger than a vacation. Be part of the story.
