I loved the location and the room which was huge!
It's an amazing location with great access to shopping, food and public transport. Pierre et Philippe were extremely well organized which made checking in a breeze. I would highly recommend it to others.
This is the most amazing apartment I have ever stayed in on Airbnb. Pierre was a very thoughtful host from start to finish (we didn't meet Philippe as he was away). The apartment is in the centre of town within walking distance of the sites and shops - a really great location! There is also a metro stop close by. The room itself is beautiful, as is the rest of the apartment, and everything is immaculately clean.
A truly great find and strongly recommended!
This is the most beautiful Airbnb I've ever stayed in, and Pierre and Philippe were absolutely fantastic hosts. They were extremely cordial and opened their lovely home to my friend and I on our first trip to Lyon. They left us an exceptional collection of travel guides and recommendations for the city, including places to see and delicious restaurants. Pierre was extremely friendly, responsive, and accommodating and let us leave our luggage beyond the check out time while we waited to go to the airport. I would not hesitate to recommend this stay and hope you will enjoy their home as much as I did.
The apartment is amazing! It's like living in a museum with a cozy bed and a nice host. Everything in the room is gallery standard. It just feels like home, especially when we had a small chat and some champagne with Pierre after we were back. The apartment is near to the metro station (like two minutes walk) and the neighbourhood is safe and calm. It really an apartment worth trying.
This is a unique AirBnB location. The apartment is over 150 years old, with all the unique features of a fine home of that era. It is filled with an amazing collection of art, objets d'art, and art books. Almost made me wish for a rainy day so I would have an excuse to stay in the apartment and look at books! The apartment was impeccably clean and fresh.
The listing is conveniently located between Place Carnot and Place Bellecourt, one block from a Metro stop. This is a busy part of town with a mix of neighborhood residents, but the apartment felt very safe and secure. It can be noisy at night if the windows are left open. If I were traveling to Lyon in summer, I would want to know how the hosts cool the bedroom. We did not need fans, but I think they would be needed in the hot summer.
Our congenial host, Pierre, was in residence but we rarely heard or saw him. There is but one toilet, shared by host and guests. This was never a problem. Guests have their own shower and lavoratory. Very small, but adequate. Besides the roomy bedroom, there is a large, lovely living room available for guests to use.
We were visiting family who live in Lyon and did not need Pierre's help to explore the city. Information about Lyon, restaurant recommendations, and maps of the city were left for us in the bedroom.
Location, location, location ... this apartment is superbly situated in the centre of Lyon but it was the friendly welcome from Pierre that we remember. With such superb accommodation we felt like royalty. The apartment is huge and filled with beautiful furniture and artwork. We wish we had more time to sit and enjoy it. Thank you Pierre for sharing your lovely home.
The apartment is located in the heart of Lyon. Almost everything is accessible on foot which is perfect for those who want to explore the city. The guest room was very spacious and clean and Pierre was very kind as well. I would definitely recommend a stay at Pierre and Philippe's apartment.
