I have an extra bedroom with a queen-sized bed. It sleeps two. There is one shared bathroom in the house. The kitchen, my pots and pans, and my dishes are available for those who want to cook. I have clean blankets and towels available. Parking on the street is available in the neighborhood.
I live by myself in the two bedroom house. I do not have pets and I do not smoke.
Guests have access to the whole house except for my bedroom. Feel free to make yourself at home.
I like to treat my guests like friends staying over for the night. I like to help answer questions or show the best route to places on the map. Feel free to ask me anything about the city.
I work during the week, but I am willing to show people around after work. I like to go to sleep before midnight on weekdays, but I stay up later on weekends.
I enjoy hearing about my guest's travels. The main reason I rent my room is to meet interesting people and have really enjoyed the experience.
I live in the City of Hawthorne. My house is 15 minutes from Manhattan Beach and LAX. It is a few blocks from the 405 and 105 Freeways which gives easy access to the rest of the city. I live in a quiet, family neighborhood, but it is a short drive/cab ride to the beach cities such as Manhattan and Hermosa Beach.
The beach is the highlight in the area. Manhattan Beach is around 5 miles west of my house.
The beach is the highlight in the area, but with the freeway access, everything in the city is pretty close.
The Green Line light rail is 2 miles from my house which provides access to downtown in about 50 minutes.
The Gardena 5 bus runs along El Segundo Blvd a few blocks from my house and goes to Aviation Station which has a shuttle to the Airport. It runs every half hour on weekdays.
I recommend guests rent a car to get to sights quicker.
1. Clean up after yourself.
2. Do the dishes if you cook.
3. Lock the doors when you leave.
3. Be friendly?
I'm not very strict, but I'd like people to respect my house and things.
Jason is a warm, kind and helpful host. The place is close to LAX and is in what seems to be a rather quiet and safe area. The instructions to get in the house were clear and precise. There are some good and inexpensive places to eat within a 5-10 minute walk from the house. The bed is warm and comfortable and the room has everything one needs for a brief stay. Great place and worth going back to.
My wife and I have stayed with Jason before and just love to visit to our home away from home. Clean, comfortable, and convenient!
Spot on! Jason is a great host. His comfortable home is located in a great location with convenient access to LAX and for those not familiar with In-n-Out burgers, one close by:) The room was very comfortable and I was able to relax after a long day and before an early morning flight.
Great place to stay with an awesome host! Great close location to the airport and Hermosa beach. I reserved last minute and Jason was able to get back to me within 30 mins. Great private room! Was a little chilly this time of the year in Cali but Jason provided a heater in the bedroom, which really made me feel comfortable as I am often a freeze baby. Provided shampoo and conditioner and soap. Very friendly and accommodating host!
I stayed with Jason for 4 nights upon my arrival from London to LA.
The first thing that worked well is that Jason lives a short taxi ride away from LAX which is ideal after a long flight. The taxi cost $25 as advised by Jason in his listing.
The key to the front door was left in a small lockbox and was easy to access using the code provided by Jason in his booking confirmation email.
The room was the perfect size for 1 person and would probably be okay for a couple. The bed was very comfortable although I needed to add a few blankets from the cupboard in the room as it was chilly the first night.
The neighbourhood is very quiet at night meaning it's possible to get a good night's rest. During the day there is the noise of traffic and low flying aeroplanes which take off from Hawthorne airport nearby.
The bathroom was clean and served it's purpose fine.
The kitchen was well equipped although Jason didn't point out which things were available to eat or use. I cooked a couple of times during my stay and it was handy to be able to do so.
Jason has excellent laundry facilities which he let me use saving me a trip to the laundrette.
Jason is very friendly and we went out for a meal together one of the evenings at a local Mexican place. He also answered a lot of questions I had about Los Angeles and a few about America too.
If there was a downside it is that there is limited public transport nearby which means you'll either need to hail a cab, rent a car or walk a while to get to the local bus / metro station.
Overall it was a good stay and perfect for what I needed, a place to land upon my arrival to the US.
Thank you Jason for hosting me and I fully recommend anyone considering staying with Jason to go ahead and book! :)
Great first Airbnb experience! Jason is really nice and the room is clean and comfortable. The way between house and LAX airport only cost $12 for Uber. Good place to stay!
Jason was very nice and helping. The room was very clean and as shown in pictures.
I really enjoy hosting people. I like to get to know my guests, and am willing to give them a local's prospective on things or show them around myself if I have time. I took a trip to South America in January 2013 and really loved the Inca Trail and Colombia. I went to Ireland and the UK in July 2013 and had a great time visiting with friends I met while traveling. Fall 2013 I took quick trips to South Korea and Bahrain. I went to Puerto Rico in February and really enjoyed my most recent trip to Denmark, the Netherlands, England, Morocco, and Spain.
