This place is perfect for a secluded relaxing experience, which is just what we needed. It was 107 degrees, but the ceiling fan made it comfortable inside. The wind made the day even better and cooler. The sunset and views of the night sky are spectacular! We were also visited by…

Rudy’s place was super cool! There’s not much to do around but it’s a great place to stay for an off the beaten path kind of stay. There are lots of unpaaved roads around so I’d recommend a 4WD vehicle if possible- regardless my Prius made it around ok just fine at 5-10 mph.

Thank you for your review Sierra. I value your opinion. As in the description: the place is mostly for people who require solitude and peace away from the hustle and bustle of a city. The desert it self does not offer a lot of activities, though at this place you can play loud music, watch HD movies, barbecue, cook, sunbathe, sit by the fire, watch the stars at night or just relax. You can be sure that there will not be any neighbors knocking on your door nor any other disturbance outside. It's just you and your company. Privacy is the virtue here, therefore I do not greet the guests upon arrival to see whether they brought extra people or pets nor keep frequently calling them to check if everything is okay. There have been writers, photographers, artists and even scientists staying there who valued the isolation and peacefulness above everything. I hope to see you back soon.

This place is for the adventurous. Maybe more like a high end camping experience. We took a walk in the desert at Sunset, you really do feel like you are out in the middle of nowhere. Some like that feeling others may feel a bit isolated. We made a fire in the open living room an…

Jamie and his daughter seeked a last minute accommodation and I was happy to host them and provide a shelter for the night.

Beautiful, secluded location! Rudy did an amazing job at creating this desert oasis. It was very windy from when we arrived until we left, and the wind was very noisy throughout the night (making it difficult to sleep), so make sure to be prepared for the weather. We had some tro…

Definitely hard to find at night. Very, very rustic. Unique experience for sure, some positives if you like roughing it. Feels wobbly when the wind blows. It is beautiful in the dessert at night. Toilet, sink and the like, again, roughing it, a little tough to clean up with, whic…

Once again. Please read and follow the house manual, self check in instructions and the directions with exact gps points which are provided after booking. When you keep texting me at midnight because you have got lost in a middle of the desert; your trip already started with a wrong foot and your whole stay will be effected by this unpleasant experience. Then your review will be unconsistant with the reviews from people who came prepared.

Amazing spot in the middle of the desert for star gazing. There was a phenomenal sunset. Very quiet. I enjoyed a morning desert walk along the dirt roads. Sitting by a blazing fire pit is a great place to be on a cool evening. Rudy was a very attentive host.
