Beautiful, centrally-located guest apartment with private entrance! Located in charming Rosedale neighborhood close to UT campus and easy access downtown. Walk to dozens of restaurants, coffee houses, bars, shopping and a park with swimming pool! The suite has a queen bed, comfy sofa, mini-fridge, microwave, and coffee maker.

The Space

The private gate is lined in jasmine (smells awesome in the spring) as well as palm and pecan trees. Walk up the private staircase to the apartment where the room is furnished with a plush queen-sized bed and extra long couch to sleep up to 3 people. We can also provide an air mattress for a 4th person. There is also free Wifi, K-Cup coffee machine, a full bathroom with great water pressure, microwave, mini fridge and a sink with garbage disposal.

Guest Access

Guests will be given the passcode for WiFi and there is free street parking. You can also hang out in our backyard on the porch swing with our lovable mutt, Barkley.

Interaction with Guests

We give our guests as much privacy as they want. We can provide restaurant and activity recommendations for all of our guests.

The Neighborhood

Rosedale neighborhood is very walkable to shops, bars and restaurants on Lamar and Burnet and also has a neighborhood park with tennis courts, basketball courts, baseball field and a swimming pool. It's very close to UT campus and downtown with easy access to MoPac, but it is a quiet neighborhood with a lot of families.

Getting around

There is a bus route that goes straight downtown that runs every day for $1 per trip. The closest stop is a couple blocks away.

  • Great place to stay. Very clean, comfortable, sunny and private. The apartment is exactly like in the pictures. Location was good, only a short drive to downtown (10 min). We would definitely stay here again. Thanks Chris!

  • Great place to stay! This is my first experience with Airbnb and I will be returning to the Goddin's place (that I'm reviewing) and will be trying other places around the country. At the Goddin's, the bed is comfortable, the sheets are soft and the shower is great too (plenty of water pressure). It has a very convenient location (easy to find), especially to the university area. They offered to help me whenever I needed it and stayed away until I asked for help. Because it is on the corner, there is a bit of street noise during the day but night time is quiet. I would recommend this accommodation.

  • Great little neighborhood spot that we'll be using again when people come into town and we don't have the room at our home for everyone. Was clean and very welcoming. Only thing that surprised us was that there was no TV, other than that, they had wifi and private AC unit, which was great! Chris was very responsive when communicating prior our reservation.

  • A+ Clean, private, great air conditioning. Personal, side yard access to the upstairs unit. The small desk/table is a plus. A few toiletries in case you forget your own. Will recommend this unit to any of my friends that come visit me once I move to Austin. Great hosts. Very friendly.

  • Chris was very good with communication from the start. It was a breeze to find the place, get the key and settle in. Even though we only met briefly, I could tell he was a great host. Always ready to help/provide something if need be. The apt. is extremely cozy and clean and exactly like the pictures. There are no surprises! I found the location to be great. Close to many things we were doing. The only down fall which others had written in previous reviews is that you do hear the vehicles on the main street. It didn't bother me at all but it did bother my fiancé! Regardless, I would definitely stay here again should I come back to Austin and would also recommend this cozy apt. to anyone needing a place to stay in Austin :)

  • This was my first time on Airbnb and I wasn't sure what to expect. My sister, her husband and I were all coming in from different states and needed a place to stay in town for a wedding. The apartment itself was private, beautiful, clean, spacious, comfortable and in a good walking area. What I particularly enjoyed were the small details inside the apartment such as a fold out table, small shelves near the bed to put night time stuff on, a Keurig, small fridge, hair dryer etc., plenty of hangers for clothes, snacks, extra linens/blankets etc. It is those details that made this place especially hospitable. I even got some sweet puppy kisses. There are quite a few things accessible within walking distance but Chris recommended Upper Crust Bakery (fantastic) and Uchiko (AMAZING) as places to eat. The street does get a bit noisy with traffic but the AC droned that all out. I would highly recommend staying in this apartment. What a terrific experience!

  • Nice room. Busy, noisy street. Convenient location.

  • Truly an excellent experience!! Chris was very friendly and flexible (when we thought we might have more people). The apartment is sunny, clean, and well-stocked with snacks and coffee. I stayed with two friends and it was plenty of space for us with one on the couch. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. It's not super close to downtown, but it's a very quick drive or cab ride.
