Our property is inspired by the wondrous tropical villas of Southeast Asia. It artfully blends the cozy interiors of the Main House with a large tropical garden featuring majestic rock formations, set within a lush landscape adorned by a natural cave and two swimming pools with waterfall features
The space
There are many vacation homes in Aruba, but none is like Bali Retreat. When you pass through the hand-carved teak door of the retreat, you leave behind the hoards of sun-burned tourists, tacky restaurant chains, and gaudy beach resorts of the Caribbean, and emerge in the exotic paradise of South East Asia.
As you take a stroll among the awe-inspiring, million-year-old granite boulders looming above you, by the picturesque pools with crashing waterfalls, and under the lush canopy of tropical foliage, the enchanting, whimsical ambience will make you feel as if you were magically transported to the faraway kingdoms of Thailand or Malaysia, or perhaps to one of the idyllic islands of Indonesia
And the longer you explore the layout of the villa and the maze of garden paths that connects various hidden areas within the lush grounds, the more likely you are to conclude that this is far more than just another house rental, rather it is your own private resort where anything that anyone might desire during their vacation can be found.
UTLIMATE RELAXATION
If you seek rest and relaxation, you’ll discover that nothing quiets the mind better than floating in the Garden Pool listening to the clamor of the waterfalls, reading a book under rustling palm trees while suspended in one of the hammocks in the Hammock Cove, meditating between two giant rocks in the Meditation Hollow, writing your journal in the tranquility of the Garden Lounge, gazing at the stars in the Sky Bed, taking a break from the afternoon heat in the cool Buddha Cave, or showering under a full moon in one of the open-air bathrooms with only the tropical song of
cicadas as the backdrop.
STAY ACTIVE
If you wish to invigorate and strengthen your body, you can swim in the Indoor Pool under ancient Buddha statues protruding from an imposing rock wall and two waterfalls cascading into the lap pool’s crystal waters.
You can work out in the open-air gym, play volleyball or badminton on the white sand Beach Court, practice yoga or pilate in the Yoga Pavilion, engross yourself in a game of chess in the Giant Chess Nook, play ping-pong in the Table Tennis Alcove on a custom-built table, or enjoy a game of billiards in the Main Hall.
WORK REMOTELY
If you need to work, there is a fully air-conditioned office with a printer and the entire property is blanketed by a mesh wi-fi network.
SLEEP IN TROPICAL STYLE BEDROOMS
In our three Tropical Suites, you’ll enjoy luxurious ensuite bathrooms—two of which are open-air—along with expansive glass sliding doors. These doors let you seamlessly blend the lush garden with your suite, allowing you to bask in the tropical climate. For moments when you prefer privacy and modern comfort, simply close the doors and enjoy the refreshing air conditioning.
The Family Suite (formerly Guest Room) offers additional sleeping space for up to 4 people and has full bathroom with shower.
PRIVACY & PEACEFUL ENVIRONMENT
All of that in a secluded location that offers complete and unrestricted privacy from the outside world, where no prying eyes can ever intrude upon your solitude and disturb the retreat’s tranquility.
CONVENIENT LOCATION
Given the above, many of the retreat’s guests venture out rarely. But should you want to, you will be just a few minutes’ drive from the shops and restaurants of Palm Beach and the white sands and blue waters of Eagle Beach.

If you’d like to make your vacation even more special, private chefs can prepare for you amazing meals right in the retreat while you lounge by the pool, and trained masseuses and beauticians will transform the retreat into a full-service spa with a large offering of treatments. We would also be happy to arrange for you transfers to and from the airport, beaches, or restaurants, and hook you up with the best tours on the island - private or group sailings, jet ski rentals, ATV tours, and many other private or group sightseeing tour.

THE BEDROOMS:
The house can sleep six people in luxury in its three master suites. All three suites - Pool Suite, Beach Suite, and Garden Suite - are air-conditioned, furnished with king- size beds, offer lovely views, and have ensuite bathrooms.
The Guest Room has now been converted into "Family Suite" (also air-conditioned) - it can sleep up to four additional people : two in a king-size bed, one person in a full-size day bed, and one person on a twin-size trundle bed (pull-out mattress). For that reason, the Family Suite is ideal for parents with two small children or friends who don't mind sharing the room. It comes with a full bathroom with a shower. This was completed end of Feb 2025.
All four bedrooms have easy access to the social areas of the house and offer good privacy for its guests (no bedroom shares a common wall with another bedroom).

We have a G-OOGLE HOME, in the kitchen (Apologies for the weird spelling but the proper spelling of that company is blocked by the site) & as well as G-OOGLE NEST SPEAKERS in each bedroom.
We have SPOTIFY music streaming subscription and a NETFLIX subscription available to our guests.
Other things to note
ADDITIONAL FEES:
Aruba Tourist Tax (12.5% of the booking amount) + Aruba Environmental Tax ($3.00 per night). You don’t need to pay these at the time of booking, we will send you an Airbnb payment request for the tax amount one week before your arrival.
SMALL CHILDREN:
We have hosted many children in BALI RETREAT ARUBA and they love the retreat, but please keep in mind that our pools have no safety fencing and there are large trees and boulders to climb on (and fall down from) in the garden. Please make sure that small children are under supervision at all times.
THE FAMILY SUITE (BEDROOM #4)
The Family Suite has two separate sleeping areas: one features a king-size bed (sleeps 2). The other sleeping area has two twin sized beds (sleeps 1+1) . The Family Suite is ideal for parents with small children or for friends who don't mind sharing the room due to the open concept. There is a private bathroom with shower in the Family Suite.
TROPICAL LIVING:
The Billiard Room, the Kitchen and two of the ensuite Bathrooms are open-air to take advantage of the beautiful Aruban weather. While Aruba, thanks to its arid climate and rare precipitation, has far fewer mosquitoes than the rest of the Caribbean or Florida, they do still exist. There are occasional flies, especially after it rains. You might see small geckos in the garden (they’re the good guys, they eat the mosquitoes). We fumigate and spray against mosquitoes and all sorts of insects regularly, which takes care of most of them, and we recommend using a bug spray, especially in the mornings and evenings. All the bedrooms can all be fully enclosed, but this house is built for people who enjoy the outdoors.
NOISE LEVEL
BALI RETREAT ARUBA is located in a residential area on a quiet cul-de-sac street. Our neighbors are normal families with jobs and schools to go to every day. We kindly ask you to be considerate to our neighbors and keep noise during the day to the minimum. No noise is allowed between 10pm and 6am.
PARKING:
Parking is available right outside by the pedestrian entrance in the covered carport, which fits two cars. If you need more parking space, you can park on the street.
LOCATION
We’re within a 10-minute drive to Aruba’s two most popular beaches - Palm Beach and Eagle Beach, as well as the capital city of Oranjestad, and about a 15-minute drive to the airport.
Nearly all of the islands attractions, sights, shopping, and restaurants are within a 15-minute drive.
