Fiona was a lovely host! The apartment is in a fabulous location and serviced our needs very well. We had a minor hiccup with our check in and wifi which Fiona was quick to act and assist us to remedy the situation. Kinsale is wonderful and we'd recommend her suite to anyone headed to that area.
Fiona was an excellent host. Location was central to Kinsale village. So we walked everywhere. House was very well set up and organised. Support offered for entire weekend. I know kinsale quite well but there was excellent advice on things to do, places to eat etc. Nice towels, comfortable linen, neat and tidy. All necessities covered incl. wifi.
5 Stoney Steps is a great spot in the heart of Kinsale, making everything within easy walking distance. Fiona is an excellent host and her home was clean, bright and welcoming. She had left us bread, butter, milk and hot cross buns and checked in with us before and after our staying by text to make sure everything was going well.
If I was ever going to list my house on AirBnB, this is the standard I'd strive for. My husband and I arrived in Kinsale after flying in from Amsterdam and I was quite ill, so after a quick tour of the place I went straight up to bed. The house was so cozy and comfortable that I didn't even get that horrible "sick away from home" feeling. Luckily I was feeling better the next day so was able to enjoy the breakfast foods left for us by the host, as well as the comfy chairs, washing machine, and wifi. The location was picturesque and perfect for exploring the town - we'd pop back in for a few minutes throughout the day to use the toilet or drink a glass of water. Definitely our favorite AirBnB experience of this trip so far - a home away from home! I'd insist that anyone I know visiting Kinsale stay here.
This was a GREAT place to stay in beautiful Kinsale! Fiona and Eva were very easy to contact and helpful in every way!
Fiona left tea and snacks for us, she found a ride for us from the airport and checked on us while we were there. She had a notebook prepared for the house and local interests. Everything was aimed at the comfort of the guests, from the blankets on the chairs, to the reclining chairs. The house is beautifully furnished and well kept. It is steps from town. It is at the top of a large set of stairs, so you have to be able to maneuver the steps or a steep hill. It was a great place and a lovely town. We loved it!
About the Host, Fiona
Marketer and traveller. I live in Dublin but rent out Kinsale - my home from home. When I am not working, I like to try new things and see new places. Love reading and lots of sport including hurling, rugby and golf.
