Beautiful authentic room with private bathroom for rent in De Pijp.
The room has it's own entrance and is located on the second floor of a very authentic, old house. The street is next to the beautiful Amstel river and the pretty Sarphati park.
The Pijp is known for it's lively, artistic atmosphere. Around here are many restaurants, cafes, galleries and lively daily market Albert Cuyp. Main attraction is the Heineken manufacturer. This area is more Amsterdam alike than the city center. This neighborhood is more working class and locals hangout.
The room is very central located in between the museum district (which is only a 15 min walk away) and the Amsterdam city center (which is in the other direction 10 min away from here).
The city center starts at the Utrechtse straat, crossing all the canals heading towards Kalverstraat, the biggest shopping street in town.
Complete downtown area is doable by feet, or take the tram 4 or 3 which will take you anywhere downtown or train station to transfer for the train to the airport.
I would be happy helping you out were to go based on your personal interest, or sending you any information about concerts, theater or give you other suggestions which make your stay more convenient.
Guests will have access to there own private room and private bathroom.
Lost off public transportation around my house. Two city trams 3 and 4 will bring you everywere down the city center. Also metro station, Amstel station and Central station are easy to reach from here.
We had an amazing time at Iris' place. It is perfectly located - in a nice neighborhood and very close to the city center.
Iris was very kind, open and easy-going; she gave us many tips and was always around for help/ questions. Thanks for the great time!
The place is just as described. All common needs covered if you are not a big fan of cooking (but, hey who likes to cook while in such a fabulous city as Amstdam?). Large bathroom and bedroom with huge comfortable bed. Facing street, but quiet enough to wake up in the morning fresh and recovered. Close to traffic points, and fantastically positioned if you're a walker, like I am.
Iris is great host, she'll respond quickly, and be helpful and hospitable. In any case, I would with no hesitation ask her for assistance. Primarily, she's a good person. Thanks, Iris :-D
Beautiful room in a very pleasant neighborhood. Iris was very kind and helpful, she offered a map to borrow and recommended a few decent shops and restaurants.
For a short trip to Amsterdam I can highly recommend this room!
We really loved this place! The room is beautiful, also the bathroom. The house is close to the city center, we went everywhere by foot.
And Iris is really nice and helpful. :)
Next time we'll choose this place again!
Iris is a terrific host. She was welcoming, very helpful and went out of her way to provide information and help us out during our stay in Amsterdam. Her B&B is perfectly located in a quiet street which is very handy to trams and just a 10-minute walk from the museum quarter. Our accommodation was fantastic. It was very clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and for some self catering. Highly recommended.
Me and my boyfriend spent two nights at Iris'. Really beautiful and spacious room and toilet, everything very clean and nicely decorated. Great windows to feel the sun (we were lucky) coming inside. You have a microwave and some basic staff (dishes, cups) in case you want to have breakfast or a simple lunch/dinner in the place.
The location was great for us: you have a tram stop at 5 minutes (number 4, directly to the train station, passing through the Rembrandt Square and Dam Square, central points of the city) but we walked all the time, even from the train station (35/40 min from the station, 20 min from the center of the city). You also have some supermarkets close by, and the amazing Albert Cuyp open air market is at 8 minutes on foot.
Iris was a very nice host, providing us with a map and a guide of the city and being open to keep my lugagge till the moment where I left the city, at the end of the day.
I really recommend the place.
The room is beautifull! The neighbourhood is quiet and yet near everything!! There are shops and transport to everywhere you wanna go... Also is very near to a big local market.. Besides all this Iris was a great host! She borrowed us a map and several guides! You should rent this room!
We enjoyed our stay very much. The room is spacious and quiet (at least when there's no construction noise outside). The bed was wonderful--warm and comfy, and Iris provides a great assortment of tea. I loved the De Pijp district and the restaurants/bars within walking distance, especially in back of the Heinecken museum. (And thanks for the map, Iris!) We would definitely stay here again.
We had a great time, very nice apartment - thanks!
A really nice and quiet room. Very clean. Iris seems to be very nice. She wasn't there the day we arrived, but her sister opened the door for us even though we arrived really late in the night. Downtown Amstedam is in walking distance and it's a nice walk with a lot of cafes and shops on the way.
I can fully recommed that room and would book again any time!
