Sam was a great host. The apartment was always clean and the other guests were very friendly and respectful. There's a great coffee shop on the corner and a cute pizzeria downstairs. There are 3 buses nearby (38, 5, 24) that can get you around town and a lot of chill neighborhood bars/restaurants nearby.
Sam was also very easy to contact and quick to respond, whether it's directions, hangout spots, or a wifi password.
I would definitely recommend this apartment to others that are visiting or relocating.
This place is definitely all about location. I stayed here as a temporary housing solution while I looked for an apartment. The neighborhood is pretty awesome and is close to pretty much everything: Alamo Square Park, the painted ladies, bi-rite, the Independent concert venue, and a bunch of good restaurants and bars. Sam is a great and easy-going dude too.
Sam was willing-to-help, comforting host. And location of accomodation was fine. Room was spacious, showers was clean and neighbors were cool. You will have your own set of keys, so you can in-and-out as you wish.
It was pleasant stay except the minor flaw (that my room has no window).
All in all, I recommend this accomodation.
Sam was great! Extremely accommodating in our dire last minute search for a room. The place itself is roomy, the other tenants were all very nice and interesting people, and we were very big fans of the nice kitchen.
