About This Listing
Very simple, very compact, low priced 2 bed apartment who suits Guests who are looking for a no fuss, quiet place to sleep and wash. The bathroom is tiny with very small but very hot shower. Electricity, not included in rental price, cost : 17 cent/KW
Self contained 2 small bedroom apartment in Dublin 1.
The apartment has 2 small bedrooms with 2 double comfortable beds, please note that there is not much space around the beds, so the bedrooms are small.
There is all so a small dining/ kitchen area with a fitted kitchen and you can prepare simple meals no problem as there is a 4 ring hob and an oven, a toaster and a kettle, a small fridge/ freezer, a washing machine, a small table.
In the living area, there is a very comfortable double sofa/ bed. We have got great feedback from previous guests as being a confortable one.
Please note that the bathroom is very small too.
Because the bedrooms are small and the bathroom is small, we are offering a very good rate especially considering that the apartment is very well located in the Dublin 1 zone and also considering that the apartment has the benefit of having 2 separate bedrooms which makes it private if colleagues want to share the apartment or 2 couples or friends...so we think the apartment is a great value for money if you don't mind a small bathroom and 2 small bedrooms.
The apartment has great advantages : it is a very quiet apartment as it is only surrounded by gardens, the beds are very comfy, has a central location in Dublin 1,
6 minutes walk to O'Connell Street which is the main street in the centre of Dublin. 2 Minutes to the main football stadium : Crockepark, About 10 Minutes walk to Temple Bar where all of the famous Irish pubs are located.
Hi speed WiFi Wireless Internet is included.
The studio is close to the junction of North Circular Road and Dorset street. Dorset Street is on the main route for Dublin Airport. The number 16 Bus goes from here and is every 15 minutes directly to the Airport and cost about 2 euros. It takes less than 30 mins to the Airport.
There is a non smoking and no party policy in the house.
Please note that the electricity is on an electric card system. They are sold in units of 5 Euros. As a guide, generally, electricity does not cost too much and would only cost 5 to 10 euros per week depending on use. Consumption of electricity is displayed all the time, any electricity not used is refunded on departure day.
We loved Alex and Ada's apartment, which was clean and centrally located. Upon arrival, we were lucky enough to have restaurant and recreational advice from Alex and Ada, which kept us busy throughout our three days in Dublin. The kitchen was fully stocked with a refrigerator to make hot breakfast every morning. We would definitely stay in Alex and Ada's flat again.
Grant and his friends were very polite and very kind Guest. We really appreciate your feedback and we are delighted that you enjoyed our recommendations. We want our Guests to have a great time together in dublin and at the appartment combine with a reasonable cost. So we are thrilled that is what happened for you.
You are very welcome anytime:D

Alex was a gracious host and very communicative about arrival times etc. He had a map of the town for us and had even checked out the best route to the concert we were going to that evening for us.
The flat is small and not at all modern - but the beds are comfortable, and everything is in good working order.
Alex is a great host who went out of his way to accommodate us. We arrived in Dublin quite early and he met us at the apartment so that we could leave our luggage and not have to drag it around for the whole day. He told us the best places to go and showed us where we could get the bus from - he was great. The apartment itself is as described - it is small!! However it has everything you could need. We cooked a few meals and had three great nights sleep as the beds were very comfy. The only downside is it is freezing in there - Alex does supply heaters but you can't leave them on all night so I suggest taking some very warm pjs and don't forget your slippers!! The bathroom is tiny but I'm not going to moan about it as I fully expected it to be. You can do everything you need to do in there...just about, but it had hot water that came out nice and fast and that's all that mattered!! If you are looking for luxury then don't stay in this apartment however if you are looking for a relatively cheap get away with an apartment that gives you a decent nights sleep and the ability to cook a bit of food then this is the place for you. The apartment could do with a bit of tlc - wallpaper peeling off the wall and so on but overall I was very happy with my stay. I think it was decent value for money and I'd stay again. Thanks Alex! :)
Our hosts made our arrival so easy and were really kind and patient with us (a group of 6 all arriving from different countries!)
The apartment is very compact, and really there was room for us to sleep, two in each bed, one small bathroom, and that's it. As a place to crash, wash, and head back out again, it was great.
The neighbourhood is ok, about 15-20 minutes walk from Temple Bar. There's not much in the immediate area and I feel like cars home at night would be a good idea for tourists.
Not the best place for hanging out as a group or family, but definitely ideal for a group of friends looking for a low cost crashpad!
We stayed in this little flat for the St Patrick's festival and the location was great, just a 15 minute walk to reach O' Connell Street. We were 6, but that was perfectly fine, you just need to organise accordingly for the toilets and shower times and everything's alright!
Nathalie was also so kind to us, she helped us to get to the flat by bus, explained where the nearest convenience stores were, pointed the best pubs on a map... Seriously, she was just perfect!
Everything was clean, we were provided towels, we were also able to cook. In the rooms, the beds were good, with useful shelves and hangers !
The only downside of the flat is that you can feel the humidity and then the towels don't dry off easily.
For 6 people, we paid less than 8€ for electricity, which is fine with all the showers we took and we sometimes switched the heaters on.
The neighbourhood is fine, we had no problem at all.
Thank you very much for your stay at the apartment. We really enjoyed meeting you:D and thank you very much for your feedback, very much appreciated. Yes, the apartment has 2 gardens on both side of the apartment so real earth behind the exterior walls of the apartment, the very good thing is that it is a real quiet apartment as it is surrounded by gardens only so you hear no traffic yet you can enjoy a very central point within walking distance of everything to do in Dublin City center, the downside is yes, there is extra moisture in the air as the apartment is surrounded by gardens but it is a fine apartment if you put the heating a little bit in cold weather. We will put an electric towels dryers.
Thank you very much Anais for everything,
You are very welcome anytime.

Alex and Ada were great host. We had a great time in Dublin. This apartment was exactly what we needed. If you are looking for a place just to sleep and clean up, then this place is great. We had no problems at all. Alex and Ada sat with us for 45 minutes to get us all the information about travelling around/visiting Dublin. Some people said it was a bad neighbourhood, but we had no issues. The bathroom is very small but it served its purpose. We enjoyed our trip and this apartment served a big part in giving us a relaxing place lay our head down. Thank you to Alex and Ada for being the best host's possible.
Thank you very much for staying with us and for your feedback. Having lived in the building with my 3 young kids for nearly 2 years last year, we never had an issue with neighborhood, it is perfectly safe.
The apartment is best fitted for Guests who are looking for a place to sleep, rest and clean, it is a simple, no frill, compact, very quiet, low price apartment which is 10 minutes walk to O'connell street.
Thank you very much for your visit Jared, we really appreciated it.

The hosts were absolutely lovely couldn't fault how nice they were. But I have to list a few things about this apartment so you can improve for your next guests.
My friend was in the shower and the shower head fell on top of her head injuring her.
Cooker was unusable, didn't work anyway but was the dirtiest thing we've ever seen.
Nothing had been washed up looked like things were growing on it.. Pans, plates, cups etc..
It was so cold the heaters were awful we had to spend our own money and buy blankets and hot water bottles and sit with our coats on.
Kitchen light didn't work.
Mirror fell off the wall which could have been potentially dangerous.
The blind was broken so we had no privacy what so ever.
Area was north circular which is a really dangerous area, being four young girls every taxi driver we had walked us to and from our front door every night and told us to be very careful.
Thank you very much for staying with us. We always do our best to make sure that our guests have a great experience when staying with us. We have to say that we are very surprise by your comments and we think are not very fare.
You said that we were nice hosts so how come you did not contact us straightaway to tell us about the things which were supposed to be wrong. We told you that we were only 15 minutes away should you need anything and we would have been very happy to come and fixe things straightaway for you. when we arrived at the apartment, it was totally upside down, we have never seen the apartment looking so bad, the shower head was completely broken up and opened up, the keys of the apartment were not returned so we had to change the lock and make new keys, no electricity money was left on the table for your electricity expenses as it was not included in the rental and was explained on the description of the apartment and on arrival, the mirror in the kitchen/ dining area was off the wall, dirty intimate clothings were left all over the place. We think that something went wrong with you. maybe drinking too much to a point of not thinking straight, ie calling us, contacting us. Any normal guest would ring in an emergency to get the shower working again as it is pretty major, we had to buy another shower head, it is all fixed now, the way it was broken up and totally open up, it looked like it was interfere with, the glass miror is secured again, in one year and 3 months it had been on the wall, it never fell off, anyway it is secured again.
Maybe, you did not want to pay for your own electricity consumption, we don't know but the heaters are working perfectly, we agree with you that if the apartment is not heated in the middle of the winter it is pretty miserable. We prefer to give our guests low rental rate and let our Guests to be responsible for their electricity need, it is explained in the description of the apartment and on arrival.
The hob and the oven are working perfectly too, there is a child safety switch which needs to be switch on before any electricity can come on the 4 ring hob, it was explained to you on your arrival, maybe you did not understand us, why did you not communicate with us on all of those issues??they would have been sorted in less than one hour. It is your special stay, we want you to be happy. If there was anything that the cleaner had forgotten to clean which we are very surprised about, we would have come ourselves and re- clean it for you. The blind is working perfect in the kitchen, we have Belgium guests at the moment and they have the blind in the kitchen down for their privacy so we don't understand your issue on it. Again, had you communicated with us on it, we would have been very happy to come and fix everything for you immediatly and you would have had no issue. We cannot guess, communication works both ways, we cannot guess.
Please, in the futur, if there is anything going wrong in your rented accomodation, do communicate with your host either by mail or by text or by calling the phone.
We really don't understand why you did not communicate with us.
We are trying our best to make our guests feel very welcome and want them to have a great stay in Dublin with us.
Thank you very much for your feedback and for staying with us.

We love meeting Guests from all over the world. We have met fantastic people and have had a great experience with airbnb guests. We are an easygoing family, very patient and understanding. We do our very best to make sure that you enjoy your stay with us and in Dublin. We are very happy to advise you on off the beaten tracks things to do in Dublin. We will accompany you a little to show you where to go from the apartment to the heart of the city center on foot. We will give you maps, circle the places on it where we thing it is worth visiting....We privilege communication on both side. We will always be very happy to take your luggage early if you wish. we are offering easy check-out where you can check yourself out very easily by just leaving the key of your apartment on the kitchen counter along with the electricity money and just close the door of the apartment behind you as the door locks by itself so very early check- out is very easy and always possible. Should you have a late flight and enjoy Dublin to the very hand, we are very happy to offer to you to leave your luggage in the hallway.
We are very easy going and patient.
We are looking forward to meeting you and welcoming you in Dublin:):):)
