Hi travelers, guests, and potential new friends!
I love this place. It's a really awesome sunny, friendly apartment in one of the best locations in town for travelers hoping to get the "authentic" San Fran experience near some great sites. The bay windows in our living room and bedroom look directly over the Pan Handle of Golden Gate Park, so you can enjoy watching all the dogs, bicyclists, and joggers playing in the grass and big trees.
We're just a few minutes walking distance from the entrance of Golden Gate Park and its myriad of attractions -- Japanese Tea Garden, De Young Museum, SF Botanical Gardens, even live bison! Personally, I love spending afternoons discovering all the beautiful winding landscapes there - I'm a former New Yorker and enjoy this even more than hitting Central Park for the day! And many weekends there are free concerts, fairs, and festivals there.
We're also just a couple of blocks from historic Haight Ashbury (where the sixties got their spark) and its myriad of restaurants, bars, funky vintage stores, record shops, yoga studios, bookstores, cafes, headshops, boutiques, and all its unique history. Climb up nearby Buena Vista Park for an amazing view of the city, or just ramble around the neighborhood checking out all those gorgeous Victorian style doll-house-like buildings.
Driving to us is quick via Fell and Oak St. and parking is pretty easy for SF (except for Mon mornings from 10am-noon for street sweeping). Public transportation is really easy to access with regular bus service downtown (16X Noriega Express and Parnasus 6) and the The N-Judah Muni Metro line.
As for the apartment, you would have a big private room with bay windows, comfortable queen size mattress (so we can comfortably fit 2 guests), plus shared kitchen, living room, and bathroom.
My roommate and I are a couple of professional "cultural creatives" who are really enjoying the city. Some things we enjoy -- festivals, hiking, camping, surfing, snowboarding, learning nerdy stuff about the cosmos, and of course good wine and chocolate!
We like to hold a fun, cheerful, safe, and open environment for guests of all types. We'll have some towels, clean sheets, SF orientation tools, and chocolate waiting for you. We're constantly amazed by all the incredible people we have met through our Air BnB experiences. We look forward to meeting you!
I felt very welcome in Jonathan and Douglas's home. The room was comfortable and offered a beautiful view of the Panhandle. Convenient location next to many walkable amenities. I would definitely recommend a stay here.
Talat is a super nice guy. He is very friendly, helping and super funny. thank you for all talat.
Anna was very friendly and accommodating. The location of the house was great, and close to many shops and cafes. If you stay here I highly recommend breakfast at the Oak Cafe, and groceries from Falettis. Cheers guys, and thanks for the wonderful stay
The best thing about this apartment is its location, with great cafes for breakfast and killer sangria and tapas at Cha Cha Cha on Haight. If you can, drop into the de Young museum in Golden Gate Park on a Friday night to catch live free arts and musical performances and watch the sun go down over the city from the observation tower.
Lovely couple, we felt welcomed and safe in their clean and awesomely located apartment! Parking was easy and the nearby Height street has a lot to offer in terms of food and character before you dive into the heart of SF!
Great basic place in a great location , Talat and Ana were nice and polite but where in and out staying at a friends. They had a friend Terra who was at the apartment most of the time but she was amazing and very accommodating. Thanks again
Because of flight delays and missed connecting flights (beyond our control), we were unfortunately not able to stay with Talat and Anna. However, they were very understanding and a fair compromise was reached regarding the cancellation policy. I certainly wouldn't hesitate to book with them again on a future trip to San Francisco.
I had a great stay in this apartment. Although I did not have the chance to meet Talat and Anna, their friend Terra was really nice and thoughtful.
The room is very quiet and clean, and the apartment is near Alamo Square, which is a great place to start visiting San Francisco.
This was a good first AirBnb experience.
Awesome! Their place is in the heart of the Haight Ashbury district, right across the street from the panhandle. Golden Gate park is right down the street! The smell of the Eucalyptus trees was divine! I would highly recommend this place to anyone who loves San Francisco.
Amazing location and atmosphere! Highly recommended!!
