About this listing
My apartment is centrally located in Recoleta on the fifth floor of a quiet apartment building. It's just 1 block from the subway and 2 blocks from Santa Fe Avenue. There is Wi-Fi and a very comfortable pull out bed.
This is a very comfortable pull-out sofa in the living room of my apartment. The apartment has a full bath, kitchen, and small office area. It is equipped with Wi-Fi and cable TV. The location is perfect: In Recoleta/Barrio Norte and just one block to the subway and two blocks to world-famous Santa Fe Avenue. It is just a seven-block walk to the Recoleta Cemetery - home to Evita Peron.
My building was constructed in the late 1950's and is considered to be Rationalist in design. The lobby, lined with dark wood, has a very Art Deco feel to it and my apartment does as well.
The prior owners, a young doctor and banking executive, completely remodeled my apartment just one year before I moved in, installing Italian marble in the bathroom and granite kitchen tops and all new appliances. The floors are the original parquet wood floors from the original owners.
I also have an extra mobile phone with a local # you can borrow while here. You just need to add credit to it.
Wi-Fi, kitchen, TV, Playstation 3
Interaction with guests
I work out of my apartment so I am around during the day to answer any questions or help with things.
It's near the school of medicine so the streets are filled with medical students during the day and until around 10 pm.
Just a block from the Facultad de Medicina subway station (Line D), two blocks from Santa Fe Avenue and walking distance to tons of restaurants.
Nothing formal, but no smoking and no guests without permission. And, if you want to make coffee, make enough for me, too! :)

I'm an expatriate from the USA who has been living in Buenos Aires, Argentina since early 2007.
I work full-time but can accommodate one person most nights of the week. I worked in tourism my first year in Buenos Aires, so (time allowing!), I'd also be happy to give you a walking tour of Recoleta and the surrounding neighborhoods in the evenings or weekends and, of course, fill you in on the best places to eat, drink and be merry!
