  • A calm place in a hectic and vibrant part of the city. Friendly cats and easy to use public transportation close by :-)

  • Lily was a great host and we enjoyed the conversations we had. We really loved her house and felt very comfortable. The highlight for us was getting to sit in the adorable backyard in the hammock while sipping beer :) The mission is a cool neighborhood and we were so thrilled to be in such great proximity to everything. First time using airbnb, we had no idea what to expect. Great experience for sure.

  • Despite my late arrival (10PM), Lily was very welcoming and showed me around the house. The room was pleasant to stay in, tidy and neat. I wasn't around the house much (I was in town for a conference), but it was a great place to crash on my grad student budget.

  • I had a great time during my 2-week stay at Lily's. The bed is comfy, everything is clean and if you cross a cat he'll probably be friendly. The street can be a little noisy at times, but that's part of living in the city!

  • We were a full week in Lilly's flat and we loved it. The bed is super. The cats are sweet. Location is perfect. Lilly is a kind host. San Francisco is top.

  • This old blue house is one of a kind: so charming, and so beautifully furnished with neat antiques! The back garden is a lovely place to eat your takeout mission burritos. We stayed here a month and hardly prepared a meal; there are so many great restaurants just steps away.

Lily and Goose were great roommates, though we were regrettably so busy we didn't get a proper chance to get to know them. We mostly crashed in our very comfy bed in the lovely little room with a view of Sutro Tower. It got chilly some nights in March, so we piled the comfy blankets on.

  • My friend and I stayed at Lily's for 2 nights and it was lovely. It's a funky place that smells like cats in the common spaces but everything was clean for us in our room (bedding, towels, bathroom, surfaces). Lily is very kind!

  • Lily's place was great - very funky. The room had good privacy and the bed was comfy enough. We appreciated the extra soap and tissues. The back deck was a nice place to enjoy a beer or cup of coffee.

  • Great little place! HIghly recommend! A true San Francisco apartment -- beautiful wood features in the interior and a cute sunny back porch. Remember, she has cats, so if you are allergic take note. But other than that, they're very friendly kitties and they stay out of the room you're sleeping in. Also, the bedroom is on the street, so there is some residual noise on occasion from a passing vehicle with loud engine, but overall normal noise level for a city stay (I had no trouble sleeping soundly).

Lily was flexible and very accommodating and even had on hand a lint roller (needed to defrizz my suit prior to attending a client's hearing at court) and a steamer to take out wrinkles. The living room and kitchen are so sunny!

  • I had a great time staying with Lily and her roommates. The apartment is large, full of character and I felt very welcome indeed. No quiet, minimalist, modernist decorative style here - every room is full of cool stuff collected from the last 100 years or so. The place itself is very peaceful however.
The room was clean, neatly presented, warm and very comfortable. Bed was good quality and I slept well. Also has a nice big window looking out onto the Mission.
Bathroom is nice enough - again, it's old, clean, functions well and is charmingly decorated
Lily is a sweet host with lots of helpful advice and I'm very glad to have made her acquaintance. She is a very open person, which I like a lot. I'll probably look her up next time i'm in town. I didn't see her roommates much but they were all perfectly nice people and I never once felt out of place there.
I spent some good time in the garden, a slightly chaotic but verdant and comfortable haven from the streets outside. Also hung out with the three cats, all of whom are very friendly and have distinct personalities (If you're allergic to cats or the smell of medicinal herbs, there are other places). Thanks, Lily!
