- BE VERY RESPECTFUL OF OUR NEIGHBOURS.
If they get mad at us, we’re going to have problems keeping our project alive. Use common sense and don’t do anything you think might bother them.
- PLEASE DO NOT WEAR HEELS OR ANY SORT OF NOISY SHOES when you walk around the house. Especially at night. This is an old apartment. Our floor is not very rich. People living below us can hear everything.
- DON’T BE LOUD ON THE STAIRS. It takes 30 seconds to get to the front door to our apartment. Please keep it extremely quite as you’re doing so. Especially at night.
- TAKE A SECOND TO MEMORIZE OUR APARTMENT’S DOOR, so that you won’t have problems coming back home. This will also prevent any accidental attempts of breaking into our neighbours’ houses. They might not like that.
- HELP US KEEP THE HOUSE CLEAN by leaving no trace of your activities.
- RECYCLING IS A SERIOUS DEAL IN THIS NEIGHBOURHOOD. Please be very careful picking the right can when you dispose of your trash. There is no way we can get rid of it otherwise. Just read the labels.
- KEEP THE NOISE DOWN AFTER 10 PM.
Be aware that other roommates might be asleep as well as the rest of the building
The room is very close to the Piramide station which made it extremely convenient. Other than having to wait a few hours for my host, the apartment was clean and I felt very welcomed. Luca was most helpful.
Luca's girlfriend met us at the train station. She's very nice and talkative. She recommended a great local restaurant close to the place. We had one room in a large apartment with other travelers, so it felt kind of like a hostel-type environment. One thing that seemed very weird to us was that the toilet is very loud and the people staying in the room next to the bathroom asked that we please don't flush the toilet at night, but use a bucket instead... which was pretty off-putting. I don't know if that is a permanent thing or a temporary thing, but it would be worth asking if you book anytime in the near future.
Location-wise, the description was very accurate. The apartment was very close to the metro and only a 20-30 minute walk to the colosseum which was nice. The only real negative was that there were quite a number of people staying in the apartment at once (we encountered 5 others in our two nights there plus myself and my two friends, plus the two owners) and only one bathroom to share, so that was a little difficult, but if you don't mind a very communal space and a little waiting then it shouldn't be an issue.
I was met at the local metro station by Luca's friend (Luca was unexpectedly away) and taken to the flat which was untidy but friendly. My room was spacious and clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom and kitchen were both quite long and narrow, but the shower was excellent - plenty of hot water! Luca's friends gave me a lot of good advice about where to visit and where to eat. The location was great, easy to get to all the places I wanted to go to.
The house was exactly like it looked in the images. Spacious and neat. Luca ' s girlfriend was very helpful. The place was 5 mins walk from the metro station. Good experience over all.
