A beautiful 2 bedroom home, within a group of secure apartments, on a quiet leafy lane in Ballsbridge. The city centre is but a short walk away.
The apartment has 1 double bedroom with king-sized bed and ample wardrobe space. There is a single bedroom/dressing room which looks out on the gardens. There is a brand new bathroom with plenty of towels provided. The fully fitted kitchen has a dishwasher, oven and hob, microwave, washer/dryer and large fridge. The cosy lounge/dining room has broadband TV, and WiFi. The apartment has patios to front and back, which looks out over the well maintained, communal gardens.
I will meet you on arrival to make sure you know how everything works. I can be reached by phone and email to answer any queries you might have during your stay. Most of the time I will be no further than 1/2 hour away.
The famous pub "The Beggars Bush" is across the road and "The Gasworks" pub is just around the corner. The Aviva Stadium and the RDS are close by. Ballsbridge village, with its excellent restaurants, pubs and park are at the end of the road. Stephen's Green, Trinity College, the National Gallery and Grafton Street are just a short walk away.
As the apartment is very central nowhere is very far to walk.
The airport and city bus stop is just around the corner.
The DART, which is a little electric train, can take you all around the bay, from Malahide beach in the north, via the city centre, to the pretty village of Dalkey in the south and beyond.
If you are looking for a quiet retreat, yet close to the city centre with all its attractions, then this is a perfect place to be!
We booked Ann's place for a family holiday to attend a wedding in Ireland and the house was absolutely perfect for our needs. We were 6 adults and a toddler and there was plenty of space for us all. Ann met us on our arrival and welcomed us, making sure we had everything we might need and a good overview of the locality.
The house itself is beautifully finished and equipped to a very high standard, everything spotlessly clean and in good working order. Nice kitchen and dining area, lounge and bedrooms. The garden was beautiful and our little boy loved playing outside. There is a big TV in the lounge which was perfect for watching Celtic qualifying for the Champions League group stages.
The house is close to the DART station to get to town, not far from Dalkey and Dun Laoghaire with their nice selection of shops, cafes and restaurants . There is a small supermarket a short walk away.
There are numerous nice places to walk nearby, we did morning jogs in Killiney Hill Park which is lovely and has great views over Dublin and the Wicklow mountains. It is about a 5k run from the house to the top of the hill in the park and back home. Alternatively it is about the same distance to run down to the seafront and to the pier in Dun Laoghaire and back up.
We had a great 5 days staying here, with lovely weather as well! Would love to stay here again and highly recommend Ann's house and warm welcome!
Ann's home is a very restful and lovely place. Our family of five were extremely comfortable throughout a two-week stay. Ann is a wonderful host and a pleasure to meet. We hope to return to this oasis in Ireland!
We spend a month in Dublin at Ann's house and it was magical. The house is in a great location, close to Dalkey village and the DART. My two sons made friends with the neighbor kids and loved it. Thank you Ann!
My family of five, including three young children, stayed at Ann's house for one week. It was a lovely start to our holiday. the house was so warm, clean and cosy. Ann was a lovely hostess, so welcoming and provided great information about the local area. The house is in a lovely area, very quiet and completely safe. We caught the DART home from Dublin late at night and it felt so safe and secure. The area is very child friendly with great parks and places to eat. The house itself is very large, with plenty of bathrooms, and so beautifully decorated and furnished. Having WIFI and cable TV was brilliant as well. I would recommend this house to anyone with no hesitation.
Staying at Ann's place was really great!
We had an amazing time!
Her place is lovely and really close to Dublin.
Ann is a great hostess, she was really helpful, giving us advice about what we should do and visit.
It would be a pleasure to go back there.
We came back to visit family and we couldn't have picked a more perfect home or location. The house was warm and cosy upon our arrival and we had organized for some groceries to be delivered prior to us landing which Ann accommodated with no problem at all. The house is gorgeous, incredibly clean and perfect for our family of five. We also had to extend our holiday by an extra day at the end due to illness and Ann, very kindly, managed to give us an extra night. A fantastic family home, and a lovely host we couldn't recommend it more highly.
Our family of 6 had a very pleasant 3 week stay in Ann's lovely home. We found it to be a very homely and comfortable house in a convenient location, walking distance to the Dalkey village, dart (train) station and a few minutes drive to Dun Loaghaire. Having met Ann on arrival, we found her to be very friendly and accommodating, wanting to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Traveling from the Australian summer she made sure that her home would be warm enough for us in the Irish winter. Having 2 bathrooms and 3 toilets was also a bonus for a large busy family, as well as a comfortable lounge room to relax. The WiFi in the house was an essential for our family of teenagers and ourselves to be able to keep in contact with home. We would highly recommend this home for your next stay in Dublin, we would certainly use it again.
My family and I enjoyed a lovely week in Dublin, staying in Ann's comfortable, well-equipped and very clean house. The house is very well located, close to lovely walks and villages. It is spacious and homely at the same time. We would highly recommend Ann and her house.
Our family of six spent 3 nights in Ann's lovely home on a recent holiday in Ireland. The whole exoerience was hassle free, the property was comfortable and Ann was very considerate - even creating additional sleeping space for my brothers. Location was great for the ferries (both Dublin and Dun Laoghaire) and also for visiting other attractions such as Wicklow Mountains and the beautiful seaside town of Howth. We would recommend this property for families and groups - a definite home away from home!

We had a great two week stay at Ann's house! The home is very comfortable and back yard is lovely and peaceful. Ann went out of her way to find us equipment and toys for our two young boys. Her recommendations for places to eat, shop, and visit were spot-on.
