Luxury and elegant apartment in the heart of Rome, between Piazza Navona, Campo dei Fiori and the Vatican.Located in the 2nd floor of an ancient building,it has 2 double bedrooms,2 bathrooms, independent kitchen, big living room, library,WiFi.Just GREAT!
This wonderful apartment is a luxury place where you can live like the old noble Romans. It is located in a wonderful, safe and very trendy area, in the very heart of Rome, between the magnificent Navona Square and the picturesque Campo de Fiori, at the second floor of a noble Palazzo served by lift.
The apartment has two bedrooms with two double beds. There is a big hall (the Noble hall), a little one (the Library room) with flat TV, an independent kitchen where 4 people can easily eat, two bathrooms (with shower and Jacuzzi). I provide bed sheets, covers and towels, free wi-fi, microwave, washing machine, bathtub and shower, fully equipped kitchen.
The furniture is very nice and elegant.
If you are in Rome for business, this is the right place to rent. Very quite and safe, very central and elegant.
I can provide to you a personal driver to bring you to the apartment from Fiumicino or Ciampino airport.
Moreover I can provide: baby sitter for your kids, city tour with guide, ticket museums, personal chef, trip around Rome with wine tasting in typical "fraschette", trip to Pompei (one day) or Florence with a guide; visit to the Vatican Gardens or Vatican Museums with a guide; walking tour with a guide to the most beautiful squares of Rome.

Massimo is a great host who made everything very easy from beginning to end. During the booking process he was prompt and very responsive to any queries that I had. He kept in touch during the days preceding our visit and made sure that we were happy with everything after we had settled in. At the end of our stay Massimo arranged for a car to take us to the airport and was very accommodating to our needs on our last day.
The apartment is perfectly located in Rome. We found it easy to walk everywhere - 3 mins to Piazza Navona, 5 mins to the Pantheon, 5 mins to Campo di Fiori, 10 mins to the Vatican, 15 mins to the Colosseum and about 25 mins to the Spanish Steps. We only used taxis a couple of times during our stay.
We spent 6 days in this apartment in Dec/Jan and found it to be wonderfully warm, which was great as the locals complained that we were in Rome during one of the coldest winters they could remember. The apartment is beautiful, exactly how it appears in the photographs. It is full of character, which was lovely after spending two weeks elsewhere in hotels, where one room is just like another.
It is quite well appointed with all we required. I didn't cook, but we used the kitchen for breakfast and found everything that we needed. The wifi was great, which our two teenagers appreciated (we found the wifi a bit patchy in other places that we stayed). We had 6 devices between the 4 of us and the wifi accomodated them all.
I would definately stay here again.
We spent 9 days in Rome in Massimo's apartment. Massimo is incredibly efficient with his communication and is a most welcoming individual who was very very helpful with our luggage on arrival but also most importantly helping us find and park our car in a nearby parking station. Thank you Massimo. Also thank you for making sure the apartment was warm and the heating functional. The apartment is in a fantastic location and this contributed significantly to our enjoyment of Rome as we were able to walk everywhere and did not need to rely on public transport.
The apartment itself is probably generous by Roman standards in that it does have 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. It is full of no doubt valuable antique furniture and artworks but in our view it suffers from being overly cluttered. There is insufficient space for storage and the kitchen is small and cramped. Again it is full of stuff but quite crowded and with insufficient space to work on, if you are trying to cook a family meal as we tried to do for Christmas. The bedrooms and second bathroom are both in the loft with quite a low ceiling and we missed not having any drawers at all for our clothes. So whilst the photos are representative of the space, the wide angle shots make it look perhaps a little more spacious than it actually is. It was sufficient for us a group of three, but I think it would be uncomfortable with any more. Also it should be noted that whilst there is an elevator this is very slow and only really useful for luggage. The apartment is technically on the 2nd levels but because of high ceiling spaces this does mean that there are more stairs than might be expected. Notwithstanding these issues, we did nonetheless have a lovely time in Rome and would use the apartment again but only for a short stay.
Massimo is very kind and helpful, his apartment is very warm and elegant just like the picture, and very well located in the central, we are very happy during our stay, thank you Massimo!
We originally booked our stay for 7 nights, but within the first hour we requested to cancel our stay due to major issues with the apartment. The owner accommodated our request. We paid for the first night in-full. Approximately $390!!!!!
The apartment is ideally situated near Piazza Navona and is on a very convenient street near a good grocery and great restaurants. Massimo is an awesome host as he was very accommodating, caring and excellent with communication. He did everything he possibly could to remedy our issues with the apartment, but the unit's problems are beyond his control. He worked with us to help us out due to our disagreement with the apartment's condition.
The key issues with the apartment is that it is not on the 2nd floor(minor), it is actually on the 6th floor flight of stairs. The apartment is in very poor condition, dirty and in need of significant repairs/replacement(amenities and fixtures). The first items we saw were the condition of the furniture which was heavily used and in need of replacement (nowhere near that shown in the pictures). The bathroom showers and tub had mold growing and required most of the fixtures needing to be replaced due to age and mold growth. The lighting in the unit was poor and sconces are falling off the walls. Many of the lights were out, not functioning, missing, needing new bulbs. The unit's closet was full of the owner's clothing rendering it useless. An additional room was locked and unavailable to us. The 2nd floor is a split level of the unit. The 2nd floor's 1st bedroom ceiling is slightly less than 6ft to the ceiling. However, the supporting beams are placed at the top of the stairs. The beam is 5'2" or so requiring one to duck when entering the room. The adjoining bathroom has ceilings of 5'10" or so and has very poor lighting. The showerhead in the dimly lit bathroom is around 5foot in height. The 2nd adjoining bedroom has the same size ceiling, but also with the supporting beams requiring you to duck or smack your head when getting in and out of bed/exiting the room. All made us feel claustrophobic. The first floor bathroom was poorly kept with mold populating in the tub Jacuzzi gets, drain and on the spout of the shower head. The heat was not suitable/working for winter months. The painting of the woman in the sitting room is plain creepy. Overall, this is a very poorly kept apartment and nearly ruined our vacation. We were able to negotiate with the owner only after working with Air BnB to have a cancellation approved by them which was approved should the owner not allowed us to depart early. There is no way this unit should rent for more than $100 per night in it's current state. It is a 2star at best. If fixed, could be better, but the bedrooms are for little people.
Dear Jim, you are the first person since I began to rent this apartment (3 years ago) that put a negative review, trying to force the reality. After you, other guests put great reviews, as you can see. It is almost incredible what you wrote. Like is incredible that you wrote that “The painting of the woman in the sitting room is plain creepy” ;)). All these bad things you wrote surprised me strongly! Some are obvious lies! I am sure you are a nice guy, as I told you personally, but I am still sure that happened something different (apart small problems) that made you decide to change apartment. If all was fine you would have been stayed in another apartment, also the first night. Probably, I guess, you realized that it was too much expensive and you have found something more affordable, and you needed to justify your decision to have your money back. As regarding the apartment…the pictures are quite clear: the apartment is so particular (old fashion noble roman home), because it is like a museum, with paintings from 1800's, antiques from Italy and the rest of the world, things that you can’t find in other apartments filled with IKEA furnitures; the second floor of the apartment has low ceiling, like the pictures show, so no surprise at all, but it is enough to stay fine; the beds are very comfortable; the heating is working fine, as I showed you personally (why you must say that they are not working???); the apartment is at the second floor (why you wrote 6th floor???, it is unbelievable…). I did all things that needed to do, and thank you for some good suggestions. But, finally I want to share that - probably you forgot to write - you put all the apartment in disorder, as there were 4 persons inside for a week; you used both beds or, probably, you put clutter in the rooms just to spite; the living room (that looks not so claustrophobic) was left in poor conditions…. I also believe that you have put the house in disorder to justify the reimbursement to Airbnb. I stop here!
It was a privilege to stay in this extraordinary apartment, which is ideally located in the heart of the centro storico of Rome, in a historic seventeenth century building. The rooms are well appointed, beautifully decorated, and altogether agreeable. There were three of us, and we were especially grateful for the three comfortable sofas in the handsome living room, which meant that we each had ample room to relax after the long walks we took in every direction. Massimo is a consummate host: affable, engaged, knowledgeable, and accommodating above and beyond our expectations.
The neighbourhood was perfect! Walk everywhere! The apartment was lovely. Just don't rent a car as parking is difficult. Best to arrive without one and you don't need one anyway.
The smaller bedroom has a low ceiling and if you are 5' 7" or taller it could make you feel cramped with two people sharing that room - but it is cozy!
Massimo is wonderful and looks after everything you need.
Lejligheden er bedre i virkeligheden end på billeder. Beligenheden er perfekt og stemningen authentisk.
