We stayed 3 days in this beautiful apartment, perfect for 2 couples or a family. The apartment is fully furnished and is located in a quiet area very close to the bustling Talbot Street where there are pubs, supermarkets. In 10 minutes you can walk to O'Connell Street and just 5 more minutes are needed to reach Temple Bar, in the very heart of Dublin. Great is the quality / price ratio of this accomodation considering the location and the "traditional" alternative (i.e Hotel) in this semicentral area. Without any doubt a solution to highly recommend.
A special mention for the kindness of Eddy and Jessica, the hosts.
Great place, great location! We also brought our 2 year old and she definitely made herself at home here! Just goes to show that it was definitely like home away from home! Thanks for having us and for being great hosts.
We had a wonderful time at Eddy and Jessica's place. The beds are super comfortable and the apartment is brilliant. So close to everything. The hosts are so friendly and really went out of their way to make sure we have everything we needed during our stay. I could not recommend staying here more, you will have a great time.
My two sons & I stayed at Eddy's apartment during the Christmas week and had a very good experience. The apartment is in a central location, near to most attractions, the bus station, the tram line, several pubs and good shopping. It is just a 15 minute walk to Temple Bar, Trinity, National Gallery and other museums, the Gate and Abbey Theatres and Grafton Street shopping.
The apartment is a nice size and was quiet. It is good for a family stay or two couples. We generally had our breakfast at the apartment and i also made a couple of dinners and lunches there. The kitchen has a cooktop, small oven, microwave and basic pots, pans and equipment. Eddy left us some soft drinks, juices and a selection of teas and little snacks and candies on our pillows!
There are 2 bedrooms, each with a double bed. My sons found the bed a bit of a squeeze but there were extra linens so we used one of the sofas in the living room a few nights. That was a bit short but it worked.
Eddy cleared out the two bedroom wardrobes so there was plenty of space to hang our clothes which nice. Great hot showers! Washer is very good; clothes dried on rack but took a long time. The weather was quite cold and damp (welcome to Ireland!) during our week so the apt was a bit chilly. Bring an extra sweater!
After I arrived at the apt, communication with Eddy was really fantastic. No one was there to meet us on our arrival but, per arrangement, I picked up the keys from a neighborhood shop. I was a bit anxious about that but Eddy's plan worked well. in the few days after my arrival I had a lot of questions about how things worked, where to put out trash, etc. I felt like a bit of a pest but Eddy quickly responded to my emails. No one was there for check out either; keys were just left in the mailbox but this allowed for a late checkout for my sons who had an afternoon flight.
There is one thing that I would suggest to make for a better stay. We were provided with only one key fob to the main gate and door to the building. We had two keys to the apt door. We had the punchin security code but that only seemed to work on the gate -not to either door to the building. this meant that we had to coordinate our comings and goings so we could get into the building. This was a bit of a hassle in the evenings, when I would return home earlier than my sons who took full advantage of the pub life! This involved them ringing the intercom upon their arrival and I had to wake up to let them in.
All in all a good experience and a great way to visit Dublin.
Excellent hosts, great communication, neat apartment great location as its very central. Perfect for our stay in Dublin, Highly recommend! :)
