Tutto benissimo! Posto consigliato!
Gabriga is an ideal host. He met me at the airport and took me there when I left. Even for a 6 am flight!
He goes beyond the basics and made my stay very enjoyable.
His flat is in a convenient location and enabled me to learn a new section of Florence. I enjoyed the 15 mins walks to the Duomo, passing through spectacular architectural neighborhoods.
He shared coffee ad breakfast in the morning and cooked a couple of delicious pasta meals (eur$15), totally worth it.
There were no other guests so I had a bathroom to myself. All in all, a great value. Many thanks Gabriga!
I stayed at Gabriga's place for 2 weeks, the room was spacious with high ceilings, the host, Gabriga Pellegrini was friendly and polite! If you visit Florence in off season time, you may have a chance to have a bathroom at your own disposal most of the time, like I had.
I wish I knew better Italian so that we could communicate easier with Gabriga, he is an interesting and knowledgeable person. All in all, I enjoyed my stay at his place! Larisa Letterle
Gabriga was a great host. He is very kind and attentive, ready to help us in any way he could. The room is large and cosy, and the location ideal: quiet, but just a 15-mins walk from downtown Florence, and with a bus stop just steps away. Gabriga also prepares good coffee and, in the meantime, can also tell you a lot from him about Florence and Italy in general (especially about art!).
We would stay again at Gabriga's place. The only thing you must remember is: there is no lift in the building, so prepare yourself to make some extra fitness upon coming back.
I spent a very easy long weekend staying at Gabriga's lovely large apartment in Florence. The room is huge and the apartment is located an easy 20 minute walk along the river from the centre of the city. Gabriga was the perfect host - warm and engaging over breakfast but otherwise happy to leave you in peace if you so wished. The night I arrived he came looking for me after I rang up lost - I got a cab in the end but appreciated his concern. Be warned - the apartment is up three flights of stairs so pack lightly..!
It was a great pleasure to stay at Gabriga's house! I feel like I was home! The house is in a beautiful location, quite calm and nice! A very beautiful and large room. A great time there. I hope I'll return there.
I spent a lovely two days staying with Gabriga and Giorgio. I was immediately made welcome with an offer of lunch as soon as I arrived - and that warmth and generosity continued all through my stay. Giorgio is an excellent translator and so we were all able to have interesting conversations. Location is good - just 10-15 mins walk to central Florence. If I come to Florence again I will definitely stay here.
It is really an Artist's house, full of Gabriga's products, amazing! He and his son are very kind, and helped me to make reservation on musem. Gabriga's coffee was great! Still miss it. Love that house! Highly recommend!
Beautiful big room on the top floor, easy walking distance to the old part. Enjoyed our stay, thanks
It was great staying with Gabriga! Gabriga and his son were very welcoming and helped answer any questions that I had. The room was by far the best and biggest room I had while traveling in Italy; much better than the two much more expensive hotels that I stayed at in Milano and Torino.
Location is great - I walked everywhere and never took a bus. There is a bus stop right out front though, and buses are very frequent.
Finally, I actually had to tweak the reservation since i had to leave one day early, and Gabriga was nice enough to accommodate my change request even though he didn't have to.
All in all, I highly recommend visiting Florence and staying at Gabriga's while you are there!
