The Space

Entire apartment to rent Rome. You will have a large, bright sunny double room, lounge, kitchen and private toilet, in quiet apartment in safe residential area. The house is located near all amenities i.e. shops, post office, bank, street market, many eateries and green areas.
You can easily reach the city centre using a single bus (bus stop is a 15 min walk) or by using the bus and subway. In any case, it will take you 40 minutes to reach the city centre, if you avoid peak times.

Cost is 14 euro per person.

We let the entire house. My wife works part-time in tourist information points in the city centre, (she can give you plenty of advice on your stay in Rome) and as freelance designer working on her own website: (website hidden).
I work as a researcher at university and am working to publish my work with scientific papers.
We speak Italian and English fluently. My wife is also a French native speaker and we speak rudimental Chinese.
We have been living in different countries such as France, China, United Kingdom and Ireland, so if you are interested we have quite a few stories to share.

We hope to meet you soon and wish you a good trip in Rome!
Francesco and Fleur

  • Francesco and Fleur were a great hosts! Very helpful and friendly. Apartment itself is very modern, cosy and comfortable, nicely located in quiet residential area, just 10 min walk from bus station, where you can get buses to most places in the city. Highly recommend!

  • We had a nice time at Francesco's apartment. The room is definitely huge enough for 4 people.

We had really clear directions on how to get to the apartment, and we did not get lost while trying to find it.

Francesco gave us good advice on where and how to get to the main attractions and monuments, and also, we were greeted with a variety of choices for breakfast, which was really nice.

I would definitely stay here again if I'm visiting Rome again, and if you do plan to visit Rome, I'd recommend that you stay at Francesco's too!

  • We had a great time in Rome staying in Francesco and Fleur's apartment! They were really friendly and helpful hosts. As Francesco's parents were out of town, we managed to enjoy having the whole apartment to ourselves while the family stayed just round the corner. Cereal bowls and spoons were left out for us every morning and we were free to grab whatever we wanted from the fridge and table. We had dinner with the family for the first night and the food was delicious and their daughter Elisa was very lovely as well.

The apartment was clean, and in a good location just a half hour bus and metro ride away from the city center. Rome is pretty warm during the summer but the presence of a fan inside the room solved the problem. We had a great time in Rome and highly recommend staying with Francesco and Fleur.

Fleur and I met in Glasgow in october 2006, and that's where all the fun started!! I was there sponsored by a European fellowship and she was studying interior design at the Glasgow School of Art. We met at the Glasgow Climbing Centre, where we were working as instructors. Living in Scotland was great, but a bit wet and dark. I had to go back to Rome in June 2007 to complete my MSc in sport science, Fleur came with me, and that was a great idea because we had a wonderful sailing camp along the cost!!! We stayed in Rome an entire year, Fleur got a gap year and I finished my studies. In july 2008 we got married and in September we moved to Dublin where I started a PhD. Wow living in Dublin was really an adventure, Fleur is writing a book about it! In September 2010 Elisa arrived! And in March 2011 we were back to Rome for few months, just time to organise ourselves and off again, this time to Shanghai. We lived in China a bit more than a year, and it was a great experience. Now again in Rome, looking for place where to settle down for a while. see you soon F&F Cittadino del mondo, sposato con Fleur dal 2008 abbiamo vissuto a Roma, Glasgow, Londra, Dublino e Shanghai.
