This was the third time that my wife, our friend and I stayed at John's chalet. What can we say ... it's perfect! If you're in the mood for a cozy weekend in a beautiful location, look no further.
John was very quick to respond to all inquiries and very friendly. The chalet was beautiful, as was the neighborhood. It was the perfect winter get-a-way. We spent two days snowboarding at Jack Frost mountain, about 30 minutes away from the chalet. The kitchen and dining room are spacious, the fireplace/woodstove is delightful, and the loft is cozy! Everything was exactly as pictured.
We had a great stay at this cozy chalet. The host was very responsive to any questions we had. We enjoyed the fireplace and there was enough room for everyone (7 beds). The kitchen was well stocked with pans and cooking utensils. The only thing was the home was a little far from stores/groceries.
House was just as presented. Very relaxing. The area is great for hiking and cycling.
The house was very clean, with a comfortable layout. John was an attentive host. Our 3 families enjoyed our weekend there -- the loft with toys was great for the kids, and we all enjoyed a visit to the community's nice outdoor pool down the road, as well a beautiful hike in the nearby Lackawanna State Forest. One warning: The beds in bunk rooms may be better suited for kids, rather than shared by a whole family.
Staying @ the Davis Chalet was an enjoyable experience. I understand his request that shoes be removed when entering the house. The floors are simply beautiful. I found the accommodations to be as shown. One friend took possession of the recliner in the great room. I found the one in the loft to be the most comfortable. Our third person claimed the tv as her own. She did have some difficulty getting the roku to work & at times it did lose the signal, but it was still hers (smile). There was more than enough linen & the kitchen was complete. I wish that I had more time to enjoy the decks. The water in the creek seemed to be "talking to me". Very relaxing!. Early one morning the dog next door barked. I'm sure "bambi" was nearby. Although I didn't see many deer, the chipmunks were having fun on thee decks. Last but not least, with the directions given. When you turn onto Floral Dr. you can put the directions away. The chalet is exactly as shown in the picture. A very picturesque setting.
This was an excellent location to bring my old high school friends together for a weekend. Clean, beautiful view and everything in great condition My favorite part was the three-level deck that helped us enjoy the outdoors, whether we were dining on the table upstairs, playing with the kids downstairs or enjoying the fire pit overlooking the creek on the lower level. I hope my friends and I can continue to meet here for years to come.
