The Space

Three bedroom 2nd floor apartment in an owner occupied duplex. Pleasant residential minded area within walking distance to thriving neighborhood center. Like a small town downtown in the city. Walk to everything, local market with organic fresh produce and meat market, post office, medical/pharmacy, library, a variety of churches, lots of parks, bank, coffee shops, book store, gas/service station, cafe and fine dining, tea and wine shops. Walk to the MN State Fair a do not miss event before Labor Day.

Guest Access

Free basement laundry, side patio, table chairs, gas grill, back and front yards.

Interaction with Guests

Generally there is very little. Usually the guests park on the street (very little on street parking pressure) in front of the house and use the front door. We park in the rear of the property and generally use the rear/side door. We may run into one another when you do laundry or on the patio, but my typical feedback is that my upstairs vacation stays hardly know I'm there. Needless to say I do live on the main level unit so if there is anything you ever need just let me know!

Getting around

There is a bus stop 1 block from our house. About a 20 minute bus ride to downtown Minneapolis, optionally you can then get on the light rail to the airport or Mall of America in Bloomington about 1 hour 10 minutes, or drive there in about 20 minutes.

Other Things to Note

2 night stay minimum. Fee is based on a 6 person occupancy. Additional guest are $20.00 per person per night for which we have a pull out couch in the living room and a side room through the master that can accommodate a pack and play and/or an air mattress (provided upon request). Babies stay free.

  • Rob's place was a very pleasant change from hotel living for a week. The neighborhood is great, with good restaurants, parks, convenience store, and library all within walking distance. It is a sunny apartment with comfortable furniture and a decent kitchen that has everything you need. I would definitely recommend it.

  • Very clean top floor of a duplex. Excellent owner, quick to respond to any questions. Quiet street with plentiful on-street parking in a great neighborhood that was nice for walking. Good central location with easy access to the freeway a couple of blocks away. Coffee shop and restaurant a few blocks away.
