We are a small riad based in one of the most highly desirable neighbourhoods in the heart of the Marrakesh Medina.

The space

Now under new management, Riad Eva offers a tranquil R&R retreat and is both couples and family friendly. The Riad is located in the highly sought-after Moulay Abdel Kader neighborhood off of Derb Debachi, which is only a 3 minute walk to Jemma El Fna Square in the Heart of the Old Medina. Although all the action of Marrakech is right outside your doorstep, you will feel completely a world-away from the hustle and bustle of the medina in this quiet, friendly and tranquil neighborhood. The rooms of the Riad are of the traditional inwards facing style, offering a surprising degree of privacy and seclusion from the outside world.

The Riad features 4 double on-suite bedrooms, 1 triple en-suite bedroom and 1 two-bedroom terrace suite. All of the rooms open onto a traditional Moroccan open-plan courtyard with a large two-tier rooftop sun terrace with multiple seating options. The Riad features a traditional, tasteful rustic Moroccan decor throughout.

This listing is for the 1st floor "Casablanca" double room. It is unique on the property in being the only room that has windows onto the quiet street on one side and the mezzanine level opposite, making for a nice cross breeze and an abundance of natural light. The rooms sleeps 2, but additional mattress can be supplied on request.

Please contact us for availability for our double rooms, as we are currently in the process of listing similar style rooms on AirB&B that we have available.

Breakfast included in the price of the room,

Refreshments and evening meals can be taken on the ground floor courtyard, or on the patio terrace and can be ordered from the staff. Evening meal requests must be ordered by midday. The top patio terrace features wrap-around views of Marrakesh and the Atlas mountains on clear days. Individual and couples hammams, massage and spa treatments, a variety of excursions, henna tattoos, and official souk guides can be arranged by the English speaking live-in staff on request.

Our business partner is a life-long resident of Marrakech and can accommodate any additional requests for help or information in French or Arabic if required. Our local connections make us ideally suited to help you make the most of your trip to Marrakech.

The Riad is a 30 minute transfer from Marrakech (RAK) airport and 10 minutes by taxi to the most popular attractions in Marrakech including Marjorelle Gardens and Jardin de l'Agdal.

The Downstairs open-air courtyard lounging area opens onto a communal salon with Satellite TV. WiFI access is available on the ground floor courtyard.

The place was very difficult to find at first but once we found it it was a very nice location to the big square. Although it is a bit creepy to walk to at night because of the long side streets. The pictures advertised definitely made the place look better than what we came to. The amenities were not horrible but not what we expected. The room unfortunately was not light and airy because there was not proper ventilation so it was musky and humid when I arrived. However, this Riad had a great location and will do if you want to be close to the center of everything in Marrakech. The staff was extremely nice to us and very helpful with any concerns we had-- I unfortunately locked myself out of my suitcase and they immediately helped me find the right tools so that I could break the lock to get my back into my stuff. The breakfast was delightful and small of course, a petit déjeuner. The terrasse where breakfast was held was very quiet calm and relaxing however the wifi doesn't work in that area specifically. Overall we had a good experience but be aware of those that try and get you to pay for directions to the place. You should double check with the host for directions or find someone willing to help you for free. Also a taxi from the airport shouldn't be any more than 100 dirhams which is 10 euros (the taxi should actually be cheaper than this as well but they will try and get you to pay 200 dirhams.. don't do it). But there is a bus at the airport that will take you to the square for 20 dirhams/ 2 euros which is honestly the best option to do.

Radouane and the others that work at Riad Eva were very helpful and someone was almost always available when we had questions. Breakfast on the rooftop terrace was probably our favorite part of stay. I wouldn't say that the rooms are light and airy as advertised in the description, but that is due to the way the Riads are build without many windows. Radouane met my taxi in the square and walked me to the Riad which made my arrival SO easy. Overall we had a wonderful trip.

Radouane was an amazing host. He arranged for a driver to pick me up from the airport, which was very convenient. Helped me with any question I had about the city. The room was perfect! Felt at home :)

My experience in Marrakesh was not good. I was basically mugged and roughed up. But this could happen anywhere in the world. However my experience with this host in this Riad was amazing. I did feel safe in the Riad itself. There are locks on all doors and someone usually 1-2people always there. They restock all your toilet urea without you asking. Place was clean and the safe itself. The host was probably my favorite thing about all of this. He escorted me to the police and took time out on his day to act as a translator. I was shaken by the whole thing and from that point on he did everything I his power to make me feel safe. Even my airport pickup and airport drop off I was personally escorted to and from. I was never alone. He made sure every detail and times aligned and so much more. It was the host that made this place special for me, if I picked a hotel I don't think they would have done all this. The Riad is beautiful, I will say this. But the host is the really special thing about it.
