Fun hip funky pad. If you want the funky scene you found it. Super thick curtains so after the late nights you can still sleep in a bit with out the bright Colorado sunshine. Beth and Jim are great resources as to how to get around and what to see in Denver. If you are here during May-Sept. and it's a Wednesday night you can ride along on a Denver Cruiser Ride with 3,000 cruisers for free. It's like burning man on wheels. A must see. Chill around the fire pit or pick a fresh veggie for dinner out of the garden This is not a party house but a friendly warm safe place to stay on the cheap. This is 12 blocks north of City Park where Tour DeFat is held in September! The bathroom is down the hall. Also the master has a bath! So there are two bathrooms in the home.
This is a fun hip place that is quite at night but near it all.
Note we rent out single room or the entire house. So when you inquire I will let you know if the entire home is available. I usually get back with you within 4 hours.
Very little. I sometimes have to cut the grass on Saturday around noon. We are not a huge hotel and I perform maintenance on weekends. We also tend a huge garden so sometimes I come by and water and pick veggies. Or in winter shovel the walks.
Its a quite street with easy access to all the fun hip stuff in the city. You are just minutes away by car. Bus is about 200 yards away and $2 will get you downtown in about 18 min.
Bus stop 200 yards away $2.25 straight shot 17 min to downtown 16th street. #38 bus

Very little. I sometimes have to cut the grass on Saturday around noon. We are not a huge hotel and I perform little maintenance on weekend but will always ask first. Close to micro's and lots of foodie stuff. We recommend having a car to get around or use Lyft. It's near downtown without the downtown $$.
We recommend using SuperShuttle or Lyft. Uber is super expensive $80 watch out. Super SuperShuttle is $30 per person and some other shuttles are $25 ask around at the airport. Also RTB bus is approx. $18. Please do some research in (website hidden) for options.
Other Things to Note

#1 Lock our doors when you leave! Don't depend on the other guest to lock up.
Number 2. Our neighbor is complaining about the talking outside his window when he is trying to sleep so we ask you to move the conversation from side patio to front porch or fire pit after 10PM. One complaint from the city and this place will be delisted on Airbnb so please help me keep a good thing going.
#3 Smoking weed at fire pit only.
No Marriot or Hilton patrons, and no snobs or snoots :)

Jimbo is a wonderful host. He's always looking to make sure you are having a good stay. I'd go back in a heartbeat!
As for the house itself, it is very comfortable with a great side patio and fire pit. Being in a quiet residential neighborhood makes any trip feel so much more relaxed. Hardly even felt like you weren't in your own home. Thanks Jimbo!
This is a GREAT place! It really felt like home. The kitchen was stocked with all kind of foods, spices, everything I needed to cook was available. It snowed during our stay, which we loved, our son loved playing in the snow in the backyard. We enjoyed making a fire in the pit and relaxing inside. Very thoughtful owners, there are awesome little details all over the house, plenty of blankets, towels, pillows etc. The bedrooms downstairs do get very warm at night so turn down the heater or keep the doors to the hallway cracked. Also the front door got stuck twice but we let Jim know and he reassured us he will take care of it. I can only guess it was due to the extreme cold and humidity from the snow. Other than that beautiful place, made great memories with our family and we look forward to staying there in the future. Contact with the owners was very smooth and quick and he answered all our questions and guided us to places around Denver. Thanks for everything Jim!
Thanks for the feedback. Do not ask me how but I had to replace the entire door knob? They just do not make knobs like they use too. Also we recommend the thermostat setting at night to be set no higher than 65 degrees. The downstairs is extremely well insulated. Since it was a whole group we allow them to set the temp to their liking. It's a house and you have control of the temp or simply text me and I can remote in and change temp via cell. Thanks again.
The house was cute and looked like the pictures. There was a small garden and great outdoor area. The neighborhood was ok . My only complaints are that the main TV was in a very small room that could only be seen by a few people and the bathroom off of that same room had a toilet that was not flushing. Overall it's a decent place.
Thanks we will take note and try and add a TV in the main room which will complete our long term expansion of comfort. That way we will have a TV in every room of the home. It's a three bedroom home with four TV's so why not add a 5th TV. Sorry about the toilet we do have listed in our instruction that if there is a malfunction please contact us and we will do our best to fix the problem. The toilet was repaired in 5 minutes. Also we asked not to touch our router and modems and they were disturbed as well along with our video system for outside safety.
I appreciate all the feedback and we hope you accept our feedback.
What a great place to use as a home base (emphasis on "home") for access to the RINO arts district. We were there with older parents and a teenager - and everyone was happy. The house has lots of fun visual details, great places to just hangout, the bedrooms were comfortable and everything we needed was there. We were able to focus on being together (both indoors and out). Just like home, we were all in the kitchen at times and everyone enjoyed the pinup-bicycle-steampunk bathroom.
Jim was very nice and prompt with answering texts. The house was very clean and cute. We were there for a girls night and it was nice to sit outside and talk. Would go back any time.
4 of us rented the whole house.
If we had known they were planning to remodel during our stay we would have stayed somewhere else. We had no option but to stay because the remodeling was sporadic and not communicated to us prior or during our 4 days/3 nights.
We understand and respect that you are trying to make the property better.
But, due to your progress we experienced a few things at your property that did not meet most renters basic expectations.
As you know, the property was still being cleaned and construction workers were still clearing out the remains from the upstairs bathroom project when we arrived at our agreed upon time.
We also told you that the property smelled musty/moldy. You didn't deny there was an odor and you explained that maybe it was due to just having the carpets cleaned. Thank you for offering to put carpet freshener down, but that may have only masked the real problem. The odor and air quality were really a constant nuisance during our time in the house. We noticed it under the sink, in the basement bedrooms (especially from the open area under the kitchen) and in the "master bedroom". One guest that slept downstairs woke up wheezing every morning. Luckily we had a full schedule that took us away from the property for most of our days.
In addition, we let you know the roof was being worked on when we arrived back to the house on Friday afternoon and the noise was quite intrusive. You said you did not know they were coming that day, but you also did not offer to ask them to stop. We became frustrated due to the noise level and duration so we tried to call you back for you to hear the loud hammering and moving around on the roof. We did go to the basement to try to nap as you recommended. It was too loud. We listened to it for around 2 hours. We have audio if you would like to hear it.
While they were hammering, debris fell from the ceiling in the kitchen, on the basement stairs and on the front stairs. We have video if you would like to see it.
The roofers came back on Saturday morning to tell us they were going to finish. We asked them to wait until we left.
Lastly, we noticed there were spider webs on the front exterior and in the house. There is good sized spider web on the lights hanging from the living room beam. Another caught debris from the ceiling above the stairs. We weren't looking for them but they did manage to catch our attention due to their size.
If we were charging you to stay at our property we would want to know these things so we could make it better. We hope you do to.
Not quite sure Airbnb is for Mindy and her gang. We shut down for 1.5 weeks to remodel and to clean carpets. She was extremely pushy about getting in the home which started at 7am. I explained we had remodeling going on and could not allow her into the home until 2PM. Check in is 2PM. It was ready only to have Mary our cleaning crew to freshen up a few things. Fresh paint has a smell sorry. Carpets smelled fine to everyone who stayed there the next night. We have installed a $8,000 new air-conditioning system. Before you point to our house being the reason for someone breathing issues you may want to check to see what is in the air because you did travel into Denver during the fall which is known for allergies. Extremely bad fit for our property they really should consider staying at a Hyatt next time.
