  • Martin was great! The room was neat and tidy – better than any hotel. He gave us a tour of his beautiful home and showed us his amazing art collection and personal work and studio. It was a pleasure to stay there! It really added to our experience of Pittsburgh and visiting Falling Water. Will recommend the stay to everyone.

  • The house is absolutely incredible and Martin is a wonderful host. My only regret is that we weren't able to spend more time with him! If you're looking for a spacious, beautiful spot, you've found it.

  • Martin is an excellent host! I wish i could've stayed longer. He has a spacious bed & bath on a separate level from other bedrooms. There is a great TV in room & he has an extensive DVD library to choose from. COFFEE in am was excellent! Loved seeing his art & hearing his music.

  • Staying with Martin was a lesson in living. Every detail of his home communicates a passion for art and design, and my short stay was a chance to realign my own aspirations for home life. Who would have thought an airbnb overnight could be so life-changing???

I awoke to the sound of Glenn Gould piano music, playing from one of the most incredible stereos I have ever heard (audiophiles - you won't want to miss this customized system). Martin tells me he usually has "Glenn Gould Sundays" but missed the routine by one day. The turntables (yes, two turntables) were ready to go for Martin's unbelievable catalog of recordings. I happen to love Sonny Rollins, and Martin was generous enough to pull out 5 different albums from his collection for me.

Breakfast was waiting for me - homemade oatmeal with fresh fruit and cream. Delicious. The coffee was truly fresh-roasted, there's a coffee roaster installed in the kitchen! Martin had the New York Times on the table, along with a wonderful variety of art publications and interesting periodicals. I wanted to read all afternoon with the life-like orchestral sound bellowing from the stereo and the coffee aroma oozing from the kitchen. Martin's kitchen is organized and designed like a high-end woodworking studio - an absolutely stunning display of modern kitchen tools hang from the walls, along with a professional stove and oven. I could only imagine the meals and parties created in this inviting space, and I was jealous my stay didn't coincide with such an event.

There's much more to say about my surprisingly wonderful stay, but I will leave it at this: If you are stopping ANYWHERE near Pittsburgh, DO NOT miss the opportunity to experience Martin Prekop's home. I cannot wait for my next excuse to visit and explore this unparalleled residence!!!

Thank you Martin - I'm grateful for your sincere hospitality!

  • Martin and Jesha have been the most wonderful hosts and created a Wonderful environment for us. The Artistic Setting of the house impressed us the most and we felt like staying at an Art museum With the real artists living in with us. Whether the living room, the kitchen and the studio and the bedroom
really made us want to stay there forever.

They treated us with respect and caring with methodical details taken cared for us. We will always go back to stay with them if we are in Pittsburgh again. We highly recommend this lovely place for any of you.

  • It was a great experience. Martin is very nice and friendly. The house is very beautiful and comfy, full of magnificent amenities. I would say it's absolutely more than what one can get staying in a fancy hotel.
