  • For my stay in Barcelona, I chose Maria's trendy and comfortable home. It was a great location, with tons of great shops and surrounding restaurants. Maria made herself very available for questions and help. I would recommend this place any day and hope to be back one day!!

  • Having never been to Barcelona before, I picked Lorena's flat to stay in because I liked the way she had it decorated. Crazy as that seems, it actually turned out to be a great decision. Now, having walked all over the city for a week, I can now say Lorena's flat is perfectly located in the heart of the Born district -- with its walking streets, easy access to two metro stops, Picasso Museum and historic attractions, one-of-a-kind boutique shops, cafés, and bars, and close proximity to the beach, parks, and an amazing spa.
The flat is located in the heart of an intriguing maze of alleys filled with charming stores to explore -- a very hip area with more locals than tourists. In nice weather, families and friends live on the streets, eating and chatting at the many little tapas places and cafés. Despite traveling as a single female, there was never a moment when I didn't feel safe, welcome, or at home in the neighborhood.
The flat itself is small, but Lorena always made me feel at home and was both friendly and helpful in every way possible. The room was simple, but clean, cute and private. One caution -- it is 53 steps up the inside of the building from the front door to the flat, with no lift, so don't bring heavy luggage or bad knees ;)
No matter where I went or what I did during the day, I was always happy to return "home" to the neighborhood and to Lorena's place. And by the end of the week, I was actively fantasizing about moving there :)

  • Lorena is amazing and you must stay here when visiting Barcelona!

Her flat is easy to find, very close to several modes of public transportation, and is surrounded by many excellent food choices.

Lorena is definitely a pro when it comes to renting out the rooms in her flat. :) Everything was very clean and organized. She showed us around the flat, how to use the shower, what items were available to us, and introduced us to her other tenant (who happened to be from our same area in the US).

We sat around for a few minutes and chatted when we arrived. She told us about the area and provided us with a guide/map that she'd created with tons of shopping, restaurant, and activity tips. Throughout our short stay we saw Lorena in passing and she was always polite and asked us where we'd gone and offered up more suggestions.

Her home is very welcoming, the area is great, and Lorena is second to none when it comes to hosting.

We will definitely be back to Barcelona and we will absolutely stay with Lorena!

  • I had a great stay at the appartment of Lorena. It is a cool bohemian flat in the middle of born, a perfect area to explore barcelona as it lies between the beach and the gotic quarter. And she was a perfect host givingmea warm welcom and with a map and additional information provided. Thank you for hoating me and sorry I did not have more time! Kind regards,Chris

  • Lorena's apartment was a lovely place to stay. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and the apartment itself was neatly decorated and made our stay all the more of an awesome experience. Lorena had lots of good information about Barcelona for us to browse through and made excellent recommendations for local places to see and eat. I would happily come to stay again!

  • Staying with Lorena and in her lovely apartment made my stay in BCN very enjoyable. The apartment is located in the very centre of BCN at the pulse of everywhere, in the safer part of Borne and very well connected to the metro lines. I very much appreachiated the lovely interior of every room in Lorenas's flat and that it was clean at any time. It was easy to feel at home.
Lorena is a lovely person putting much effort into people feeling cosy at her place (thank you Lorena for hosting me, coming back to BCN, I d like to stay with you again anytime if possible). For everyone who is in love with pretty and flavourful jewlery should also visit Lorena's shop.

  • I really enjoyed my stay in barcelona. Lorenas place is perfektly located - in the middle of borne, 10min walk to the beach. The room was very quiet and lorena gave us a good introduction of everything.
    Thanks for this beautiflul experience!

  • The apartment is perfectly located in a great area close to everything you need. The apartment was clean and had everything you needed. Lorena is a lovely host and made you feel very welcome. The only thing I was a bit disappointed with was that our bed was a mattress on the floor.

About
I'm originally from Buenos Aires (Argentina), though my family is also Spanish so i moved to Barcelona almost 10 years ago, i had been living in Viena as well, and travel a lot for work, and Barcelona captivated me since the first time, is the littlest cosmopolitan city that combines creativity jobs, with beach and bohemian lifestyle. I had studied Industrial design and i work in product design for a fashion label.
