Our home is clean, quiet, creative, gay friendly and perfectly situated for an amazingly rich and convenient Portland experience.
With a comfortable full-size bed (fits 2), wood floors, ample closet space, garden views and adjacent shared bathroom, you'll feel right at home. Please note that we ask our guests to limit bathroom visits to 15 minutes (especially in the morning) as this space shares a bathroom with an additional Airbnb room.
Full access to kitchen, living room with fireplace, and landscaped garden patio with raised beds and seating. Our home is full of plants and art from around the world, and we love meeting new people. No pets/Allergen free!
The Mississippi St. district is the place to be! Amazing restaurants, food carts, bars, breweries and stellar music venues are literally a minutes walk from our front door. NOT an easy place to get bored!
Parking is easy in this safe neighborhood. The MAX light rail system has a stop just minutes away (walking) that can shoot you downtown or drop you off from the airport. Please note that our close proximity to the I-5 freeway does provide some background noise (not really noticeable inside the house).
All in all, we're two dynamic guys who love living together, and we are excited to share our home with fellow travelers!
Interaction with Guests
We are pretty busy with work and friends so guests that are independent and self-directed enjoy this room most. We love to meet you when we can and are available for whatever questions and needs you have when we interact and also by phone!
We're generally very flexible. Honest and open communication is our way, and we expect the same from our guests. We do sometimes work early in the morning, so quiet hours after 11 are greatly appreciated. We take pride in keeping our home clean, and appreciate your help in doing so. Sorry, no pets allowed. Any questions throughout your stay? Just ask! ;)
This house was so cute and perfect for our stay in Portland. There are lots of restaurants, coffee shops, and little random stores very close by. We walked downtown to go on the Brewcycle, it was a really nice walk over the bridge. The house is super close to downtown. The bed was sooo comfy and everything was just so easy. It was so nice to go back after a long day of exploring and feel like we were at home. Thank you Adam and Arthur! I don't think our stay could have been any more perfect. Will definitely stay here again next time we are in Portland!
Our Portland experience was wonderful. We never actually met Adam and Arthur, which felt a bit strange but it was nice that they were respectful of our space. They were kind hosts, giving lots of information prior to our arrival, and chocolate and beer was available - so kind.
The neighborhood is wonderful and they're house is very welcoming and adorable! I would definitely come back. The only thing I had a problem with was that our bedroom door didn't seem to lock. Perhaps it did, but I was unsure how to lock it and wasn't able to ask Adam and Arthur (as a Canadian I didn't want to spend high roaming charges phoning them).
Adam and Arthur's house was perfect for our short stay in Portland. It was in a great location, clean, and wonderfully decorated. They were extremely nice and accommodating, even giving us some reccomendations on where to eat and drink. They even had a little sign on our door with our names. Would definitely reccomend to anyone.
I enjoyed my stay at Adam's and Arthur's house very much. Their home is spotless, peaceful and so creatively decorated, with many interesting details to appreciate. I instantly felt comfortable and at home. They were always prompt, cheerful and welcoming in their communications. Arrangements were quick and easy. The neighborhood was quiet and conveniently located. Parking was easy. Everything went very smoothly. I would be happy to return. Many thanks!
Even though I never got the chance to meet Adam or Arthur, I felt very at home. The keyless entry made coming and going hassle free. The room was immaculate and the decor was soothing. The chocolates on the dresser were a nice touch. Overall, I'd give them a 10/10 :)
The place is great, very clean and welcoming. Great neighbourhood, easy to get around. Shared bathroom with other guests which was mostly fine. It was sometimes a bit noisy in the mornings as the wooden floors mean you hear everything going on upstairs, but it wasn't a big deal. Overall would definitely recommend.
Staying with Arthur & Adam was the best experience! I give them my highest rating! Walking in, I felt welcomed and comfortable! Their place is immaculate, has great art (Adam's art is spectacular!) and was the best way I could possibly experience Portland. I was walking distance to shops & restaurants and could come back and feel at home. Adam & Arthur are fantastic hosts! I will definitely be coming back here next time I visit! Thank you so much!

Hey there! I'm Adam. I'm 32, an artist and avid soccer player. I've lived in Portland on and off for eight years now and love this city more every day. With a background in the creative non-profit world, I also focus quite a bit on my own artwork - printmaking and mixed-media collage. In addition, I work part-time at the amazing Deschutes Brewery, love to canoe, play soccer/tennis, hike, cook, drink wine/cider, have fires and travel. I was a foreign exchange student in Spain, have lived in Alaska and Hawaii, and have frequently traveled to Mexico, Central America and Cuba.
Arthur here! I'm 29 and moved about year ago from LA to Portland. Loving this city and don't miss the traffic! I have a background in film and television production and I'm working as a Real Estate Agent helping people find their dream homes in PDX. I'm into music/dancing, reading, exploring the culinary delights of the many different neighborhoods in Portland, and traveling when I get the chance. I've spent a good amount of time in Europe, China, Mexico and NYC.
All in all, we love meeting new people and can give lots of pointers about discovering the unique spirit of Portland.
