Our home is clean, quiet, creative, gay friendly and perfectly situated for an amazingly rich and convenient Portland experience.
With a comfortable full-size bed (fits 2), wood floors, ample closet space, garden views and adjacent shared bathroom, you'll feel right at home. Please note that we ask our guests to limit bathroom visits to 15 minutes (especially in the morning) as this space shares a bathroom with an additional Airbnb room.
Full access to kitchen, living room with fireplace, and landscaped garden patio with raised beds and seating. Our home is full of plants and art from around the world, and we love meeting new people. No pets/Allergen free!
The Mississippi St. district is the place to be! Amazing restaurants, food carts, bars, breweries and stellar music venues are literally a minutes walk from our front door. NOT an easy place to get bored!
Parking is easy in this safe neighborhood. The MAX light rail system has a stop just minutes away (walking) that can shoot you downtown or drop you off from the airport. Please note that our close proximity to the I-5 freeway does provide some background noise (not really noticeable inside the house).
All in all, we're two dynamic guys who love living together, and we are excited to share our home with fellow travelers!
Interaction with Guests
We are pretty busy with work and friends so guests that are independent and self-directed enjoy this room most. We love to meet you when we can and are available for whatever questions and needs you have when we interact and also by phone!
We're generally very flexible. Honest and open communication is our way, and we expect the same from our guests. We do sometimes work early in the morning, so quiet hours after 11 are greatly appreciated. We take pride in keeping our home clean, and appreciate your help in doing so. Sorry, no pets allowed. Any questions throughout your stay? Just ask! ;)
Another great stay, the house is beautiful and the rooms is always clean and nicely decorated. Although I've stayed here many times I just noticed they had a small but beautiful garden in the back. Highly recommend!
The place was awesome! The best Airbnb so far that I have stayed, I did not meet Adam but Arthur was very welcoming and yes free Beer!! Great patio in the back to chill after walking everywhere, bars and restaurants nearby and the #4 bus stops 2 blocks from the house and that takes you into Portland!! The room couldnt have been better and the communication prior to my stay was great too!! I know everyone says it but I really would stay here again and I will tell my friends too!!
This was my first time using Airbnb, and I have to say it was a great experience! Adam and Arthur respond to any questions in a reasonable amount of time. They made it very easy to manage around the house with simple signage in the bathroom, kitchen, and bedroom. Complimentary beer was a plus and probably what won me over! Wifi is also pretty fast. The house is located about two blocks from Mississippi st! All we had to do was walk about 5 min to grab a bite to eat and explore the bars and stores. It's not too far from downtown, and using the MAX to get around is easy. I will definitely return to this lovely place.
Fantastic house in a great neighbourhood. The room was clean and comfortable, Adam and Arthur were very friendly and welcoming, and they were clearly experienced AirBnB hosts. Everything was set up very well to make it easy for guests, I felt right at home. The weather was very hot over the weekend but the house (and especially the bedroom) were quite cool, so that was a nice plus. I wouldn't hesitate to stay with them again!
Adam and Arthur's home is simply beautiful. We felt so at home from the moment we walked in the door! Little touches made it just so special and we were particularly grateful for a free beer before heading out to explore Portland. A perfect place to stay during our honeymoon trip to Portland. Thank you!
Beautiful house and neighborhood, immaculately clean rooms, complimentary toiletries and free beer!
The neighborhood has many many many great bars and restaurants and food carts/trucks, and we enjoyed strolling around looking at the beautiful houses and greenery and enjoying the cool rain.
We didn't really see our hosts, and we bumped into the other Airbnb guest only once, it was so quiet and peaceful.
The place was very neat and it was beautiful. The location was really close to the #4 bus stop in mississippi street which makes commuting convenient and interesting. My friend and I didn't get to meet Adam but Arthur was so friendly and helpful when we had questions. Lastly, there's free beer! Definitely recommend their place.

About the Host, Adam And Arthur
Hey there! I'm Adam. I'm 32, an artist and avid soccer player. I've lived in Portland on and off for eight years now and love this city more every day. With a background in the creative non-profit world, I also focus quite a bit on my own artwork - printmaking and mixed-media collage. In addition, I work part-time at the amazing Deschutes Brewery, love to canoe, play soccer/tennis, hike, cook, drink wine/cider, have fires and travel. I was a foreign exchange student in Spain, have lived in Alaska and Hawaii, and have frequently traveled to Mexico, Central America and Cuba.
Arthur here! I'm 29 and moved about year ago from LA to Portland. Loving this city and don't miss the traffic! I have a background in film and television production and I'm working as a Real Estate Agent helping people find their dream homes in PDX. I'm into music/dancing, reading, exploring the culinary delights of the many different neighborhoods in Portland, and traveling when I get the chance. I've spent a good amount of time in Europe, China, Mexico and NYC.
All in all, we love meeting new people and can give lots of pointers about discovering the unique spirit of Portland.
