Our home is clean, quiet, creative, gay friendly and perfectly situated for an amazingly rich and convenient Portland experience.
With a comfortable full-size bed (fits 2), wood floors, ample closet space, garden views and adjacent shared bathroom, you'll feel right at home. Please note that we ask our guests to limit bathroom visits to 15 minutes (especially in the morning) as this space shares a bathroom with an additional Airbnb room.
Full access to kitchen, living room with fireplace, and landscaped garden patio with raised beds and seating. Our home is full of plants and art from around the world, and we love meeting new people. No pets/Allergen free!
The Mississippi St. district is the place to be! Amazing restaurants, food carts, bars, breweries and stellar music venues are literally a minutes walk from our front door. NOT an easy place to get bored!
Parking is easy in this safe neighborhood. The MAX light rail system has a stop just minutes away (walking) that can shoot you downtown or drop you off from the airport. Please note that our close proximity to the I-5 freeway does provide some background noise (not really noticeable inside the house).
All in all, we're two dynamic guys who love living together, and we are excited to share our home with fellow travelers!
Interaction with Guests
We are pretty busy with work and friends so guests that are independent and self-directed enjoy this room most. We love to meet you when we can and are available for whatever questions and needs you have when we interact and also by phone!
We're generally very flexible. Honest and open communication is our way, and we expect the same from our guests. We do sometimes work early in the morning, so quiet hours after 11 are greatly appreciated. We take pride in keeping our home clean, and appreciate your help in doing so. Sorry, no pets allowed. Any questions throughout your stay? Just ask! ;)
This was our first trip to Portland - and it won't be our last. We absolutely loved it! And Adam and Arthur's home and hospitality had plenty to do with that. Their home is beautiful, with amazing art work. There were nice little touches, like free beer in the fridge and chocolates in the room. While we didn't see them often they were always available via text and answered questions quickly. They are very close to the bus - Poertland has great public transportation. It's a beautiful city and we enjoyed staying in their home.
Adam and Arthur's home is truly amazing! We had the most wonderful experience at their place during our visit to Portland. The house and room was very comfortable, warm, and inviting. We loved every moment of our stay. Adam and Arthur were very helpful in providing suggestions on stuff to do and places to eat around the city and in their neighborhood. We were quite impressed by the personal touches that Adam and Arthur added to make our stay wonderful, including fresh beer in the fridge! The neighborhood is super cool, and is just a skip away from bus stops and the MAX line to go anywhere in the city. We couldn't think of a more ideal place to stay. Thanks so much for hosting us it was truly unforgettable!
Adam and Arthur were the best hosts. They were helpful and friendly. The house was beautiful, the location was ideal. We very much enjoyed ourselves!
Adam and Arthur have put a lot of time into this charming house, and it was a real treat to stay with them. They make every attempt to make the house feel very comfortable, and they have a nice balance of feeling like your in someone's home and staying in a really cozy and cute BnB. There's a nice outdoor space to relax on a sunny day and the location is walking distance to all the shops on Mississippi St. One change is that they now rent out two rooms simultaneously, which might give you an opportunity to meet someone from another part of the world. This is definitely a gem of the neighborhood; one that I will recommend to friends here in Portland.
It was a very nice experience living in Adam and Arthur's house. Although we didn't get to meet them, we can feel their hospitality. Love the beer and chocolates! And we do feel like at home. Thanks guys!
Can't recommend highly enough! A 100% positive experience. And very nice guys.
Great stay. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. There were nice restaurants around the place and location was good.

Hey there! I'm Adam. I'm 32, an artist and avid soccer player. I've lived in Portland on and off for eight years now and love this city more every day. With a background in the creative non-profit world, I also focus quite a bit on my own artwork - printmaking and mixed-media collage. In addition, I work part-time at the amazing Deschutes Brewery, love to canoe, play soccer/tennis, hike, cook, drink wine/cider, have fires and travel. I was a foreign exchange student in Spain, have lived in Alaska and Hawaii, and have frequently traveled to Mexico, Central America and Cuba.
Arthur here! I'm 29 and moved about year ago from LA to Portland. Loving this city and don't miss the traffic! I have a background in film and television production and I'm working as a Real Estate Agent helping people find their dream homes in PDX. I'm into music/dancing, reading, exploring the culinary delights of the many different neighborhoods in Portland, and traveling when I get the chance. I've spent a good amount of time in Europe, China, Mexico and NYC.
All in all, we love meeting new people and can give lots of pointers about discovering the unique spirit of Portland.
