Our home is clean, quiet, creative, gay friendly and perfectly situated for an amazingly rich and convenient Portland experience.
With a comfortable full-size bed (fits 2), wood floors, ample closet space, garden views and adjacent shared bathroom, you'll feel right at home. Please note that we ask our guests to limit bathroom visits to 15 minutes (especially in the morning) as this space shares a bathroom with an additional Airbnb room.
Full access to kitchen, living room with fireplace, and landscaped garden patio with raised beds and seating. Our home is full of plants and art from around the world, and we love meeting new people. No pets/Allergen free!
The Mississippi St. district is the place to be! Amazing restaurants, food carts, bars, breweries and stellar music venues are literally a minutes walk from our front door. NOT an easy place to get bored!
Parking is easy in this safe neighborhood. The MAX light rail system has a stop just minutes away (walking) that can shoot you downtown or drop you off from the airport. Please note that our close proximity to the I-5 freeway does provide some background noise (not really noticeable inside the house).
All in all, we're two dynamic guys who love living together, and we are excited to share our home with fellow travelers!
Interaction with Guests
We are pretty busy with work and friends so guests that are independent and self-directed enjoy this room most. We love to meet you when we can and are available for whatever questions and needs you have when we interact and also by phone!
We're generally very flexible. Honest and open communication is our way, and we expect the same from our guests. We do sometimes work early in the morning, so quiet hours after 11 are greatly appreciated. We take pride in keeping our home clean, and appreciate your help in doing so. Sorry, no pets allowed. Any questions throughout your stay? Just ask! ;)
Adam and Arthur's home was very welcoming! They made you feel like you were right at home. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and we were provided with free beer :) My sister and I had a lovely time in Portland and where we stayed definitely left a positive impression. We look forward to staying here again! Thank you guys!
If you're heading to Portland, stay here! :)
The house has a very welcoming and comfortable feel. Everything is as displayed in the photos. It's a perfect location to all of Portland, and getting around is a breeze.
I also had the pleasure of spending some time with Adam and Arthur over a couple of drinks. They are two of the nicest people you could ever meet and made me feel so welcome in their home. My best airbnb experience yet.
What a commodious experience! Your home is so warm and cared for. We especially loved the art and all the indoor greenery! I was thankful for all your helpful signs throughout the house; it made navigating a new place much easier. The patio was such a bonus. We loved the keyless entry system (I hate having to carry around extra keys, and I'm always afraid that I might lose them!), the Keurig, comfortable bed, and blow dryer! We certainly had all the comforts of home and then some! As if that wasn't enough, the location was absolutely perfect. The Mississippi district held some of our very favorite restaurants, and all within walking distance. Thank you, again, Adam and Arthur for sharing your home!
Good stay. Adam and Arthur were both friendly and they keep their house very clean. It's in a great location and it would be hard to find anything better for the price. They only have one bathroom and can have multiple people staying with them, so that can be inconvenient at times. They also prefer open windows to a/c, which is fine but if your someone who needs their a/c you might want to stay somewhere else. Overall it was a good stay, nice hosts, nice house, nice location.
Our stay with Adam and Arthur was awesome! Their place is very clean and well-appointed. As long as you don't mind sharing the bathroom with other AirBnB guests, this is the spot you will want to stay if you find yourself in Portland! Thank you again Adam and Arthur for the great hospitality.
Great experience again. Close to great restaurants and everything else I needed. Place is setup to make your stay easy. The beer in the fridge was a great perk after a long bike ride!
Adam and Arthur set us up for a great stay in Portland. They gave clear instructions for check in/out and the room was impeccable. Loved their homey, yet modern home. The free beer was a beautiful touch as well! Would highly recommend if you don't mind sharing a bathroom! Wasn't a problem for us. Thanks, guys!

About the Host, Adam And Arthur
Hey there! I'm Adam. I'm 32, an artist and avid soccer player. I've lived in Portland on and off for eight years now and love this city more every day. With a background in the creative non-profit world, I also focus quite a bit on my own artwork - printmaking and mixed-media collage. In addition, I work part-time at the amazing Deschutes Brewery, love to canoe, play soccer/tennis, hike, cook, drink wine/cider, have fires and travel. I was a foreign exchange student in Spain, have lived in Alaska and Hawaii, and have frequently traveled to Mexico, Central America and Cuba.
Arthur here! I'm 29 and moved about year ago from LA to Portland. Loving this city and don't miss the traffic! I have a background in film and television production and I'm working as a Real Estate Agent helping people find their dream homes in PDX. I'm into music/dancing, reading, exploring the culinary delights of the many different neighborhoods in Portland, and traveling when I get the chance. I've spent a good amount of time in Europe, China, Mexico and NYC.
All in all, we love meeting new people and can give lots of pointers about discovering the unique spirit of Portland.
