Welcome to Eastern Market-Barracks Row on Capitol Hill in Washington DC.
The space is a modern, private space, located 3 blocks from from Eastern Market Metro and within walking distance of the Capitol, Supreme Court, House and Senate , Nationals Baseball stadium, DC United Soccer Stadium. The National Mall and the Navy Yard area as well as a short distance to the new Wharf development. Please note, only guests with verified ID and full name can book. NOTE: Not Child, Infant or Pet suitable.

The space
The space is well located just 4 blocks from the bustling Eastern Market area and 2 blocks from a multitude of fine dining on Barracks Row.
Capitol bike share 2 blocks. Walk to US Marine Barracks, National Baseball stadium, DC United Stadium, Navy Yard Waterfront with even more new restaurants.

Included is a private bath (shower only), Bar Type kitchenette (no Stove or Oven) but with an portable induction cook top for light cooking, granite counter top, refrigerator, over the counter Microwave, counter top Toaster/Convection oven, Keurig coffee maker, Drip coffee maker, Washer/Dryer and Dishwasher.

There is a bar height dining table with seating for four.
The sleeping area (as one enters the space), is a private space from the living room - kitchenette area) and has a queen sized bed. The living room has a very comfortable double sleeper sofa.

For those traveling by car the location is just a block and a half off
6th Street exit of South East Expressway (now 695-probably the shortest interstate highway in the nation!)

Fresh sheets, blankets, towels, toiletries, and laundry supplies are provided .
Complimentary coffee , tea.

Guest access
The space has 2 entrances: From the front door, off entrance hallway, and the second from the patio, which is accessible to alley , servicing the rear of house. (Generally not used by guests). Note that when coming in the front entrance , you enter through french doors into the bedroom, which has a door for privacy from the living/room/bath and mini-kitchen (no stove-oven). Guests have full use of the enclosed, private rear patio.

Other things to note
The TV is ROKU and over the Air HD channels. DVD player available. Please sign out of your accounts when departing if you use Prime,, Hulu etc services.
There are 3 Gyms within walking distance, Sport & Health , Vida and Balance. Balance accepts Silver Sneakers.

Parking:
Visitor Parking Permit for on street parking is available, however, DC has moved to a Cloud based Visitor Parking Permit system that requires use of a downloadable app. Message for details well in advance of arrival or Visit ParkDC Permits dot com for details....Begins September 1, 2021.

WARNING FOR NON-US GUESTS REQUIRING A VISA :

"The State Department announced earlier this month (6/25) (that) it was relaunching interviews and processing foreign student visas, with applicants having to make their social media accounts public for vetting or face possible denial."
