Loft full, magnificent view of the Bay of All Saints. Here you watch one of the most beautiful sunset of the city lying in a hammock. Ideal for a single traveler or couple wanting to live the local reality.
I'm living in São Paulo but I have this little studio in Salvador, Bahia, where I have lived for 18 years. It's a small loft ideal for a sinale or a couple, located in Dois de Julho, the central district in Salvador, 5 minutes walking to MAM (Bahia Modern Museum of Art) - you can swin at the small beach within the Park of Sculptures beside the Bahia Marina. Every Saturday at sunset has a jam session with local jazz bands, very good sound. You also can go to Pelourinho, 15 minutes walking - historic center night life, concerts and restaurants and either 15 minutes by bus / taxi to Porto da Barra, one of the most beautiful beaches in the world - calm seas, warm and transparent.
This loft consists of a mezzanine with double futon bed and fan (no air conditioner), bathroom, small kitchen to prepare breakfast and quick meals and veranda with an amazing view of the sea and the Bay of All Sants. Place is lush and sunny. The sunset takes place around 18 hours right in front, on our porch. A beautiful image that you can enjoy lying in a hammock. The location is ideal for a person or couple, travelers wanting a real sense of the city life.
Dois de Julho is an old and historic neighborhood, characterized by narrow streets, paved with old fashioned paving stones, baroque architecture mixed with modern architecture, dogs and children playing in front of their houses. You can walk quietly up to the Largo (one block from home) and will find a sort of restaurants of homemade food (good and cheap), small markets, a pharmacy, fruit and vegetable stands and bakeries. There are public transport buses to almost all other neighborhoods and taxi ranks as well.
WE DON'T HAVE WI-FI.
THERE ARE LAN HOUSES AT THE CORNER OF OUR STREET.
1º Treat this house as your home and take care of everything. No smoking inside the house, especially the bedroom. Smoking is only permitted on the balcony.
2º Please turn off the lights, the TV and fans when you leave it anywhere.
We spent around 10 days at Pat's place and we really enjoyed it. The handover of the keys and the logistics went smoothly and Pat is extremly helpful in addressing issues that might arise during the stay. I warmly recommend this place in a lively Bahian neighbourhood!
I think right that each guest can describe the impressions of where he spent days, nights experiencing the daily life of the place. I host the airbnb since 2013. I have here with this listing about 30 comments so far and have a good reputation telling a level assessments resulting in 4 stars which differs somewhat from his view, Mariano. Unfortunately what happens is that you can not always please everyone. Anyway, I appreciate your feedback and I'll provide the improvements that I think are necessary.
Patricia is a very passionate about Salvador and eager to share her knowlege on the city and the neighborhood. The communication with her went very smooth and she prepared a lot of helpful information in advance to our arrival.
The neighborhood is very well situated close to Pelorinho and is providing everything you need. The loft itsself is hidden in a side street and has a nice view on the marina. Anyone who doesn't mind using repellent and moskito nets and who likes to sleep open air will have good time there.
Thank you very much for your hospitality Patrica!
I really enjoyed my stay here. The apartment is very central and so I was able to walk around and explore. Salvador is a vibrant, colourful and welcoming place with great music, art and culture. There are also beaches within walking distance.
The apartment itself was cool, clean and very quirky. The only downside was the mosquitos at night time. Bring repellent!!!
Tres utile!
Un endroit parfait pour decouvrir Salvador!
Pat was incredibly helpful and accommodating. While she was not in town to receive me, she was very quick to respond to messages and when her cleaning lady was unable to meet me on the day of my arrival, she already had a backup plan in place.
The place was adorable, well-decorated, and had a beautiful sunset view. Everything I needed was there. The location was also great. There were supermarkets and restaurants right around the corner, and it was just a 10 minute walk to the Pelourinho, one of the city's main attractions. One thing to note, and I want to stress this wasn't a problem for me, but the flat is basically open to the air. It was kind of refreshing, but it could get a little hot and there were a few mosquitos. Overall though, it was a great experience for me and I really loved the apartment. :) It was an adorable little apartment and perfect for someone wanting a little bit more privacy.
Thank you Maja! I really enjoy getting feedback from guests about the accommodations, neighborhood and personal impressions of how you felt being hosted here. Thank you once more for your presence and energy, I really liked your sense of independence and wit! Come back anytime! Obrigada e abraços!
