The flat is in the heart of Temple Bar, beside some of the most famous Dublin pubs like the Porter House, this is the perfect location to stay when you are coming to visit Dublin! You are surrounded by cafes, museums, art galleries, bars, restaurants and boutique style shops. On the weekends you can also enjoy the Farmer's market and Craft Market just around the corner!
Despite the fantastic location in one of Dublin's most popular areas, it is quiet at night! You are 1 minute walk to Christchurch, 5 mins from O'Connell Street as well as Trinity College Dublin and Grafton Street! There is public transport such as the airlink (airport bus) which drops you 5 mins from the apartment and plenty of buses, as well as a connection to the tram!
You have access to the kitchen to cook and have a shared bathroom. All linen and sheets are provided!
I hope to welcome you here in Dublin! Just send a message if you have any questions and I would love to discuss availability with you!
Please note: the prices vary depending on how many guests/ room, or if you wish to have the sofa bed. The price also depends on if you are booking for the weekend, and how long your stay would be for! Make sure to ask about the price when inquiring!
Cleaning fee (between around 15/30 euros depending of number of persons) needs to be paid by cash when you arrive if you are happy of the place
The location is perfect. The closest bar is 10 meters away and opens to the temple bar district, which is THE area to be. The apartment is simple and clean, and we slept with 6 people. Access is good and it is easy to find. Nicolas is very helpful and makes sure you feel at home and reacts to issues very quick!
Perfect location to stay for the weekend when visiting Dublin with your friends.
The location of the place was great! We only had one real issue which was the heat would not work but luckily it was never that cold.
Dublin is great and the flat was a good starting point for our visit ;)
The apartment was very clean and comfortable and the location was perfect!
Pros: Great location!!!
The address is shown as 2 Exchange Street Upper on the airbnb website. The flat is in fact in a building that shows addresses of 3-6 Exchange St. We spent 20 minutes dragging the luggage over the cobblestones looking for it!
When we arrived the previous renter's luggage filled the bedroom and the sink was filled with dirty dishes and the refrigerator with their food. We arrived around 4:30 and the house keeper who was very nice and tried to help hadn't even started cleaning yet.
We were hoping that a friend would be joining us, but we hadn't heard from her. Internet in the apartment was only available while the previous renters were there getting their luggage out. Then they took the only working modem with them. Asked James, housecleaner) and he had something for us when we came back from dinner, but would allow only SMS messages. Since we didn't have a phone that would work in Ireland, it was of no use to us. James used his own cell phone to call our friend who was stuck at the airport in Holland due to bad weather, so we at least knew not to wait up for her.
Left to eat dinner while James cleaned. It was cleaner, but there is dirt and dust on doors, cabinets and baseboards. Really needs a good cleaning.
Next morning went to make coffee. There is no coffee maker. Even a french press would have been appreciated. You could boil water for tea or instant coffee which we didn't have.
Went out for the day and when we returned no one had come with a new router, so we had to leave the flat again to check on our friend and check in for our flight the next morning.
Dublin is a beautiful city and our visit was still a good one even though our friend never made it, but the hassle with the dirty flat on arrival and no internet or coffeemaker wasn't pleasant. In this day and age, I don't think expecting wifi is too much and a coffee maker is essential. Why pay for the convenience of a flat and have to go out for coffee?
So sorry to read your unsatisfaction .... when the housekeeper did his best to make you happy and sort it out the internet connection issue .... Coffe machine was broken by previous guest ... I understand Internet can be an issue and coffe machine too ...but it would have be nice to write something positive about the flat who made 99% of my guests ...happy ;-)
Nicolas' apartment is perfectly located in the hearth and best place of Dublin, close to all the main atractions and pubs -if you go to sleep early you will hear it-. The apartment is perfect for 4 people. Maybe the bathroom is too old and needs some repairs, but in global this apartment was a very good choice for us.
We met Nicolas during our check-in and check-out and he was efficient in all we need and very kind. I recommend it if you are planning your trip to Dublin.
Flat is very central and in a lively area. There was plenty of space for us all. Didn't meet Nicholas but he was helpful throughout the booking as was his friend who checked us in and out. Would stay again.
We enjoyed our stay in Dublin very much. The flat is in a great location, close to all the action. The flat had everything you could need, utensils for the kitchen, blankets and sheets, hot water, toilet paper, good Internet, and even some food in the fridge. The flat, however was in a slight state of disrepair, the window shades falling off and some of the lamps did not work. These details were easy to overlook, however, due to its great location and economic price. We look forward to our next trip to Dublin.
The location is amazing. There is no better place to be. When we arrived, we were given the wrong address and directions and the place looked like it hadn't been completely cleaned. However, the bed were clean and we had clean towels. After notifying Nicolas of the cleanliness, he apologized and waved the cleaning fee for us. Although we never met Nicolas, just his friend that let us in, we did really enjoy the apartment. It slept 6 of us girls comfortably and was way better than a hostel could ever be. Overall, I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a good location and a great time in Dublin!
