Interaction with Guests
I live right next to the studio, I love that my guests feel at ease and respect their privacy. In any case, I am willing to give my guests all the support they need directions, suggestions on things to see and to discover interesting facts about Rome.
The house is situated a few meters from Piazza del Popolo, one of the largest squares in Rome. Porta del Popolo, which allows access to the historic square, is one of the entrances to the old town. The square is designed by Valadier, right next to the Porta del Popolo, on the left, there is the basilica of Santa Maria del Popolo, which held two wonderful paintings of Caravaggio. Going into the square you can enjoy a breathtaking view. Do not miss a walk up the stairs that lead to the Pincio terrace, which overlooks the Piazza del Popolo, where you can enjoy a panoramic view from the top of the eternal city with the dome of St. Peter's in the background.
Nearby there is a pharmacy, a local market, a grocery store, next to the front door there is a shop coffee roasting with food from all over the world, a Peruvian restaurant, and around there are several pizzerias, a vegetarian restaurant and bar of all kinds. To get to my apartment from Termini station just take the Metro A direction Battistini and get off at Flaminio-Piazza del Popolo, than go walking inVia Flaminia, and look for my number. I'm really a 2 minute walk. Other hand to reach the house from Tiburtina station must first get to the Termini train station with the Metro B direction Laurentina, get off at Termini and change to the Metro A as described above. Or take one of the buses that take you to Piazzale Flaminio. From the square of Tiburtina station there are several buses that connect directly with my area and are the 490, the 495 and the 491. It takes a little more than the subway but it's a nice way to start seeing a little bit of Rome.
I expect my guests to feel at their ease as if they were at home and that they respect the place that welcomes them. The only prohibition is to smoke for the rest the rules are the rules of common sense.
We were greeted by Guilia's mother (Guilia was away but was always easy to contact and was even able to fix the wifi! And graciously agreed to let us leave our bags at her apartment when our plane flight was delayed) who gave us a lovely introduction to the apartment and the area.
The apartment is just outside of the old city walls and next to the Piazza del Popolo and the Borghese Gardens (about a 15 min walk to the Vatican or 20 to the Colliseum, though there is a metro station about a 2 min walk away!).
The apartment was perfect for our stay with a clean, functional kitchen, comfortable bed and clean bathroom!
Our stay in Giulia's apartment was perfect! It is very conveniently located to all of the hot spots of Rome, along a bus line, tram, and metro station. There is also plenty of food shopping nearby. The apartment was perfect for the 4 of us, very clean and well appointed with all of the equipment we could need. Giulia was great, and nearby had we any further needs. Thanks Giulia!
We had an incredible time staying in the apartment! It was very spacious and clean, perfect for four people. The location was incredible and the beds were very comfortable. I would love to stay here again if I ever return to Rome!
Very Nice place, well located near piazza popolo and few meters from subway. Thank you for your hospitality, i definitely recommand that place!
Grazie mille e a presto!
About the Host, Giulia
