Other Things to Note
As an independent business owner in the heart of our quirky City and as a smitten longtime resident of Tacoma, I can offer a unique perspective of our beloved and often misunderstood "Gritty City"
and I know where all the really swell things things are and delight in discovering the new offerings too!
Comfortable user friendly home - things you may need to make your stay for comfortable are easy to find!
There is delightful front porch that is sheltered and quite cozy. The back porch and yard while not large is spacious enough to spread out in the hammock or dine el fresco at the picnic table. Feel free to use the grill and say 'hi" over the fence to the neighbor's St. Bernard named Fletcher - he is a doll!
Smoking is permitted in either of these spaces and there are comfortable chairs to relax in and shelter from the weather. 420 friendly!
There is a recycling bin and a food compost bin that supports our neighborhood community gardens - if there is harvestable food from our garden please enjoy it!
Parking is easy - right out front - and free!
Our resident old lady kitty, Joyce, likes to sneak out on sunshiney days, please make sure she returns inside as you leave!
Dresser, end tables and spacious closet provide excellent storage to make yourself right at home here!
I was fortunate during a great road trip to come across Cheri's listing for a room. Her communication in setting things up were excellent and she was patient with me while I worked out details.
When I arrived, I walked up to an absolutely beautiful house which, once inside, was instantly welcoming. The room was very clean, very inviting and nicer than the pictures show. There was a nicely hand written note for me, as well as a pitcher of fresh water to drink and some glasses. It was a very relaxing feeling to have after a long day of driving and moving my child into a 3rd floor no-elevator dorm room :)
The common areas of the house were all well appointed with comfortable furniture, art, a fully stocked kitchen and both the front and back patios were excellent for reading or conversation. Joyce, the house kitty is very friendly and sweet.
As a host, Cheri was very affable and kind, good to talk with and felt like a friend almost immediately. Though it might seem that she went out of her way to make my stay enjoyable, I think it is her nature to be so generous and friendly. She is a perfect Airbnb host.
I know where I will be booking my stay when I visit my daughter this coming spring.
Cheri made us feel like coming home after we had a long and exhausting trip. She very warm and kind person and she really wants to connect with her guests.
The house has 2 bathrooms and the bed was very comfortable. Cheri's house is located in a very quite neighbourhood in Tacoma.
This is the third time I've stayed with Cheri, and it's always been wonderful. Cheri is warm and welcoming and super thoughtful and her house is *amazingly comfortable* to stay at. (and Joyce the kitty makes sure everyone is thoroughly welcomed!)
Beautiful, gracious home. Our room was tastefully decorated. 2 bathrooms for our use were always available. Our host Cheri was friendly and welcoming. We would definitely stay there on a future trip to Tacoma.
We felt very welcome and peaceful at this beautiful home! The bed was extremely comfortable and Cheri was very nice and accommodating! We would stay here again :)
This was a very short notice, quick stay for me. My daughter was in labor at Tacoma General Hospital and Cheri's place was just a few blocks from the hospital. Cheri responded quickly to my request and I was able to access the home nearly right away.
The room was (as I'd hoped) exactly what I needed for my night. I was able to access the house with no problem. Cheri's very friendly cat was the only other housemate I saw in my short time there.
Parking was a little tricky. I returned to the house at 3:00 AM (a proud new grandparent) finding myself unable to park my minivan in the available space in front of the house. I did find a place around the corner with little difficulty.
The neighborhood is somewhat typical urban residential... There were a few interesting characters moving about in the middle of the night. But convenient access to the hospital made Cheri's place ideal for my stay.
Very nice and welcoming. Invited me to attend a community event nearby. Room was quiet and comfortable. Enjoyed my stay.

About the Host, Cheri
I love living in Tacoma and exploring the Pacific Northwest and beyond! It delights me to share my whimsical space and offer deeply relaxing in-home massage and spa experiences! Licensed as a Massage Practitioner for over twenty years sessions are available for fee and subject to availability, planning ahead is helpful but I can be spontaneous if you catch me at home!
A lover of nature and a curious explorer I usually have some kind of camera on my body, that is when I'm not in the water, my home away from home!
I'm currently working (playing!) on curating a photographic and mixed media gallery of my artistic expressions!
A special gift left by a guest really describes me best...
Everything warm...heavy quilts, red wine, naps, fires, strong coffee in heavy mugs
Everything soft...pillows, flow curtains, cats, skin
Everything strong...hands, intentions, feelings, desires, words, colors
Everything fragrant...food, flowers, candles, damp earth
